Get A 25% Bonus When You Transfer AMEX Points Into Flying Blue Miles

Login to your account via the link above and the transfer ratio should say 1:1.25 through 11/30. The last transfer bonus from AMEX to Flying Blue was 25% from 3/18/19-4/29/19.

Flying Blue is the mileage program of Air France and KLM. They are both Skyteam Alliance members, as is Delta.

The nice thing about Flying Blue is that they consider Israel to be part of Europe. However they do charge fuel surcharges except for Delta flights.

Round-trip coach to Israel would require 40K AMEX points plus fuel surcharges with the 25% transfer bonus:

Round-trip business to Israel would require 84.8K AMEX points plus fuel surcharges:

Flying Blue does allow one-way redemptions for half the price, so 20K AMEX points would be enough for a one-way ticket between North America and Tel Aviv in coach and 42.4K would be enough in business class.

Flying Blue also has useful Promo Awards that discount the miles required by 25-50% from rotating cities. Promo awards from LA and NYC just ended on Sunday.

Currently there are Promo awards valid from Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, and Montreal. Valid cities change each month.

Don’t understand. If I book a trip to Israel with Delta, will it still be 40,000 Amex points and without the surcharges? Thanks.

Mr. Knowitall

Can I use thes miles to fly from Charlotte to TLV? Looking for direct flight?

Tov

As far as I know, there are no direct flights from Charlotte (or anywhere in NC) to TLV.

Coffee Guy

Darn, just transferred on Hoshana Rabbah to book for next sukkos. 42K outbound, 30K on return. Unlikely to get any Delta nonstop options (when those dates open) with those numbers.

Steven

How good is availability in the summer? Can one likely book 6 in economy?

Hershy

is there promo Rewards from Tel Aviv to Montreal? Or only from Montreal to Tel Aviv?

Momo

Can you transfer to someone else account a different name ?

Coffee Guy

No. Name on Flying Blue account has to match. But if other name is an AU on your Amex account, name should appear in drop down when you link account to Flying Blue.
