Air France Flying Blue Award Search (Login required to search for award flights)
Flying Blue is the joint program of SkyTeam member Air France and KLM. They consider Tel Aviv to be part of Europe which can make for some decent deals.
-You can transfer AMEX, Chase, or Citi points to Flying Blue at a 1K:1K ratio or Starpoints to Flying Blue at a 20K:25K ratio.
You can view credit card offers by clicking on the “Credit Cards” tab on top of the DansDeals banner.
-Flying Blue charges fuel surcharges on their own flights but not on Delta flights. However availability is significantly better on their own flights than on Delta flights. When there is Delta availability though it’s significantly cheaper to book the Delta flights with Flying Blue miles than with Delta Skypesos.
-They normally charge 25K miles each way in coach and 62.5K miles each way in business class to Israel but they run rotating monthly promo awards throughout the year that are valid for select cities.
-Promo awards are only valid on Air France or KLM.
-You need to book the current promo awards by 6PM EDT on 6/30.
-Promo awards are nonrefundable and non-changeable.
-Promo awards require Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles. You can’t use Delta miles for these awards and you can’t transfer Delta miles to Flying Blue.
-With the current offer you can fly in September from JFK and Israel, Europe, or Russia for 18,750 miles each way in coach. Normally this will work from Tel Aviv to JFK as well, but currently its only discounting flights from Europe to JFK.
-You can fly in August from Boston or Chicago and Israel, Europe, or Russia for 46,875 miles each way in business class. Normally this will work from Tel Aviv to Boston or Chicago as well, but currently its only discounting flights from Europe to Chicago and just 2 dates from Tel Aviv to Boston.
-Availability in coach is wide open:
-Availability in business is more limited:

Anything available from CLE-TLV with this?
@Cle rocks:
Use 7.5K Avios to fly from CLE or CAK to NYC and connect?
dan those thumbnail images of the awards flights from nyc are a little misleading, they show dates from January and Feb 2017
@mike b:
Wrong image, fixed now.
@dan will this work from DTW?
Hey Dan, I’m not seeing the 18K deals, only the 25K ones, same dates same destinations etc. Is this still an option? Do I need to activate something?
Is the sale for July also? On delta from Prague to NY?thanks
Is there any way to search Delta to see which direct flights to TLV would be available on Flying Blue. I searched for a one way and the cheapest flight available for the next year would be for 50k. Those seats are not available on Flying Blue for 25k. Just curious, is there ever seats available on Delta for 25k?
Is it safe to fly through France?
@flyer: Yes, on very slow days. I’ve flown on Delta with 25k flying blue from TLV direct to JFK
is 18.5 per leg USA to TLV available Aug, Sep or Oct?
Your article says “only europe show”, any way to get from anywhere in USA for the above cost of 35-36k miles RT?
Are these dates available on Delta, nonstop to israel?!
If only this would work for Succos in October..
Attempted to book a ticket TLV-ORD, got all the way to payment and it errored out. Was told I needed to call within 2 hours to pay, but after waiting on hold for close to an hour, was told that the flying blue dept was closed. The ticket appears to be on hold. Has anyone had any kind of experience like this? Will there be any issues completing the purchase (25k miles + fees) tomorrow?
I cannot see the NY – TLV deals
