With Daily Getaways you can purchase discounted travel packages, but you have to be really quick.  At 1pm EDT every weekday from May 19 until June 20th there is a new offering.

The best ones will sell out in seconds, so you need to be waiting on the page at 12:59pm and refreshing the page.  Be sure to have a IHG number handy.

There are 4 IHG packages available (If you use an AMEX you will automatically get 10% off the listed price) :

1. 15K points for $90 (0.6 cents per point)

2. 25K points for $150.30 (0.601 cpp)

3. 50K points for $292.50 (0.585 cpp)

4. 100K points for $567 (0.567 cpp)

IHG runs PointBreaks which allows you to book rooms at rotating hotels for just 5,000 points per night.   That’s just $28.35 at .567 cpp or $30 at .6 cpp.

There are also good values to be had at high-end properties.  An overwater bungalow at the Intercontinental Thalasso Bora Bora that would be 50K points or $283.50 at .567 cpp. Checking a random date, January 18th, shows the lowest paid rate of $849 with tax.
