With Daily Getaways you can purchase discounted travel packages, but you have to be really quick. At 1pm EDT every weekday from now through April 22nd there is a new offering.
The best deals will sell out in seconds, so you need to be waiting on the page at 12:59pm and refreshing the page. Be sure to have a IHG number handy.
There are a lot of IHG packages available, so I don’t expect this one to sell out immediately as they would when Hyatt sells points at a discount (though the Hyatt sale will occur on Pesach this year, so I won’t have any shot at it this time around).
There are 4 IHG packages that will be available to purchase at 1pm:
1. 15K points for $90 (0.6 cents per point)
2. 25K points for $150.30 (0.601 cpp)
3. 50K points for $293 (0.586 cpp)
4. 100K points for $565 (0.565 cpp)
IHG runs PointBreaks which allows you to book rooms at rotating hotels for just 5,000 points per night. That’s just $28.25 at .565 cpp or $30 at .6 cpp.
There are also good values to be had at high-end properties. Intercontinental hotels in Bora Bora, London, Paris, Hong Kong, and other major cities cap out at 50K points, which can be a fraction of their full paid rate.

I’ve heard people saying that credit cards are going to start giving out reward point for spending?

would this be good if i need to purchase a 2 night stay in miami in two weeks? would it be possible to just do the 15k points and book 5k for each night or is it unlikely it will be 5k a night in just two weeks?

Is this such a great deal when you can easily buy 10,000 points for $70 through the IHG points+cash hack?
I see IHG has a credit card with a 70,000 point sign up bonus when spending just $1,000 the first 3months. Do you see this as a valuable card for points and there usage? It cost $49 a year after the first year. Does it hurt your credit if you cancel after the first year.
Of course, you could get 70k or 80k by applying for an IHG CC and meeting minimum spend…This saves about $135 per 100k over using the Points and cash/cancel booking “trick”. If you have lousy credit/live out of the US, or need points for a stay with a known date, this deal may make sense. Not a good enough deal for hoarding as devaluations can occur at any time.
Is 0.00565 about the best these points are offered for sale, outside of CC bonuses, etc.?
For Israeli citizens booking award nights, do they pay 18% VAT on the full cash cost of the room?

A night stay in crown plaza in Israel in either 80 dollars or 20000 points. So why is this such a good deal?
