Membership Rewards Airline Transfer Partners
Membership Rewards Hotel Transfer Partners
If you are targeted for a special offer you’ll notice “special offer” above the eligible airlines or hotels in your account. Be sure to login to check.
I have multiple different Membership Rewards numbers on the same login and when I select different accounts I can access different promotions. If you have multiple Membership Rewards numbers be sure to check them all by logging out and back in again.
Generally speaking it’s not worth transferring points unless you have a use for them now.
Here is a list of some of the current public and targeted bonus transfer offers:
-30% Flying Blue bonus.
Normally 1K AMEX MR points transfers into 1K Flying Blue miles. Targeted accounts will get 1,300 miles for transfers through 12/15.
A round-trip flight from JFK to Tel Aviv in January or February will cost 25K miles plus $249.40 in fees. That’s equal to 19,230 AMEX MR points.
A paid flight search from 01/18-01/25 looks like this:
Taking the $873 cost to fly on KLM (Doesn’t seem fair to compare KLM to UIA) and subtracting the $249 in fees you’re left redeeming 19,230 points to save $624, a value of 3.25 cents per point.
A one-way flight from JFK to Tel Aviv is 12,500 miles plus $105. That’s the equivalent of just 9,615 AMEX MR points.
-40% JetBlue bonus.
Normally 250 AMEX MR points transfers into 200 JetBlue points. Targeted accounts will get 280 points for transfers through 11/30. In other words you’ll get 1,120 JetBlue points for every 1K AMEX MR points.

That’s equal to 11,785 AMEX MR points for coach or 31,160 points for Mint Suites. That’s a value of 1.57 cents per AMEX point in coach or 1.9 cents per AMEX point in business.

@Dan- How did you get different Membership Rewards numbers? For me, when I signed up for my second card that earns Membership Rewards (the Everyday Preferred) it was automatically enrolled in my existing Membership Rewards account with my PRG, even though I never linked them and even though the 2 cards have different login IDs. How did you do it?
My offers are Virgin Atlantic and Hilton. Don’t need any of those.
@CtownBin:
It happens automatically for me, but you should be able to call and ask them to make a new account for each of your cards.
@Dan’s the man:
Better luck next time!

Multiple MR numbers? Is that how you get around the 1-bonus-per year rule?

There used to be bonuses all the time for transferring Amex MR points in to BA miles. I haven’t seen that in a while.
Are those days over?
I have the same question as Shua. Anyone know? I have been holding off on transferring 90K miles waiting for a bonus and there hasnt been one since jan I believe.
Trying to use stop overs/open jaws with united miles to get an almost free one way trip to Hawaii aftewards but keep getting error messages and when I try to price out using other search engines the price comes up full fare. Can someone tell me if NYC-VCE-FCO-NYC-OGG is a valid trip?
Is it worth doing the Hilton transfer? Dan can you perhaps give us your opinion of which ones are worth doing?
adding a little to the Alaska air miles via SPG: US to Maldives is 70k in first, but the 5:50 flight from HKG only has business. I just flew that route and the 6 first class seats with 3 flight attendants is awesome.
thanks for mentioning Cathay to Africa–excellent idea since I’m near the West Coast
Has anyone successfull by getting an offer even if not targeted?
