Alaska Airlines has begun rolling out their new award chart and will complete that process by 3/31. Awards will drop to as low as 4,500 miles each way!
While pricing on American isn’t yet updated, pricing on El Al and other airlines to Israel has now been updated and it’s incredible at just 35K miles in coach, 45K in premium, and 70K in business, each way.
That rate is valid between Boston, Fort Lauderdale, JFK, Newark, or Miami and Tel Aviv.
Rates between LA and Tel Aviv are 42.5K miles in coach, 55K in premium, and 85K in business, each way.
Availability is non-existent through April, but then gets progressively better as the year goes on. Availability is excellent from August through February.
There are no fuel surcharges, but there is a non-refundable $12.50 booking fee each way. Other than that, tickets can be changes or canceled with no fees anytime before departure.
Alas, it’s not easy to obtain Alaska miles other than from the Alaska Card. You can transfer increments of 60K Marriott points into 25K Alaska miles, or you can transfer Bilt points into Alaska miles at a 1:1 ratio.
Alaska also has these excellent rates for travel on BA to Israel, but fuel surcharges apply to those flights.
Sadly, due to El Al’s new partnership with Delta, the Alaska-El Al partnership will end on 7/31, so you’ll want to take advantage of booking awards by that date. You’ll be able to book travel through June 2025 in July when the partnership ends.
Will you book any El Al award travel via Alaska?

Can I transfer my capital one or chase rewards to Alaska?
Sadly, no. None of the major banks transfer to Alaska. Open an Alaska card to earn those miles.
But if Alaska merges with Hawaiian, that could open up the possibility of transferring from AMEX to Hawaiian and then to Alaska.
when is this merger between alaska and hawaiian supposed to take place will it be before 7/31 to be able to take advantage of?
