American was one of the last US airlines to add partner award bookings to their website, and they still don’t have all partners available online.
American’s website tech feels ancient, but it’s slowly catching up to United’s., which inherited Continental’s fantastic website.
Today, American finally added the ability to view the record locator of partner airlines. In the past, when you booked an award ticket with AA miles for travel on a partner airline you had to contact AA to get the partner airline record locator in order to make seat changes or request a special meal.
Now it’s available to view in your reservation:

I would want to be able to see in my account when I make a award booking.
As of now you can only see the booking if you are also on it. Not if it is just family members or others
