It will be tight at this point, but you can definitely try to open it. Worst case is you can transfer to Aeroplan and have them book you on Continental.
You may also be able to borrow miles from AMEX, send them to Continental, and pay them back over the next 12 months by opening new cards or spending on the cards.

I have about 110k in chase sapphire rewards and woukd like to go to Israel. What is the best way I should use to redeem the points? I love continental but they told me for my dates a ticket is 150k. Should I book directly through the Chase ultimate rewards site?
Any specials on flight to israel for sukkos?
Dan, I have a total of 200k Amex (MR First) miles and I need your opinion on whether or not to transfer it to Continental.
I do not intend to fly in the coming 12 months and I’m thinking of selling them.
Right now I can sell them for 1.7 cents per point (best offer so far).
Can we expect Amex MR points to be less valuable after 9/31?

Hi dan, I have to fly to israel on beggining of november , was wondering if there is a way to get miles just by opening credit cards . I got the continental chase 30k one . But my dates to israel its like 150k . Thanks
