Can you explain this part of your post in more detail please (platinum card airline club access (American, Delta, and USAirways) for you and your entire family for at least 4 years)? How is the club access valid for 4 years, especially if the card is canceled?
Amex told me after 45 days with play. They pro-rate
@FF:
Still works for American, Delta, and USAirways lounge access after it’s cancelled (though Priority Pass does not).
@Anonymous:
HUCA. It’s 60 days from when it’s billed.
Does Hawaiian allow one ways on Delta?
Do they charge fuel surcharges on partners ?
@Dan: how does the 4 year thing work? Just flash your Plat card, even if it’s canceled?
@YM:
No.
@Moshe:
My understanding is that they don’t but I don’t know that for a fact on all partners so call them before transferring to check.
Or if you have already checked let us know.
@KL:
They actually swipe your Platinum card but it still works until the card expires in 4 years.
I know they don’t charge it for Virgin Atlantic whereas everyone else does charge it for travel on Virgin Atlantic.
Would be good to know for sure about ANA and Korean and Virgin Australia.
How do you use Hawaiian to book on korean? What’s the easiest time to find availability?
@It’s me:
Call Hawaiian.
Korean generally has excellent availability.
I have 20K MR points and want to go to Hawaii July 28-Aug 5. I’m not finding anything round trip less than 80K points. Is there a better way to search to find the 40K round trip that you mentioned?
Business/First on Hawaiian is lousy, and their reward chart stinks. However, if you’re determined to fly Hawaiian JFK-HNL-OGG in Economy than this is a great deal. They even serve meals in Economy.
Its a great transfer for Hilton HHONORs
1,000 Mebership rewards is 1500 hhonors
but if you transfer to hawaian
1,000 membership rewards is 1200 hawian and if u transfer to hhonore is 2400 hhonors points
If I go from Business Gold to Platinum and then downgrade back to Gold within the first year is the Gold still free without an AF for that first year?
does Hawaiin work with aa one way and VA one way??
thanks
@mike how does one go about transfering Hawaiin to HHonors?
Hi all. It seems JetBlue flights are price based ie15k miles for 150 dollar flight. Does anyone know if that price includes taxes so that won’t have to pay taxes if usin miles. Important for Caribbean flight with terrible taxes. Thabks
@IbberChochom: they are a trasfer partner
tax is always payable, regardless of getting tix on miles.
@Dan:
Just called Hawaiian and they said you can’t book with korean from east coast to hawaii. Am I missing something?
I hate to rain on anyone’s parade, but the transfer terms and conditions state “third party loyalty program mileage transfers are not allowed” to HIlton Honors.
will this work for jet blue tickets, I need to book jet blue now.
Remember that Hawaiian converts to HHonors at a conversion of 1:2, so if you want to change MR to HHonors you can now get a rate of 1:2.4, instead of the 1.5 by transferring from MR directly.
Keep in mind that taking the Hawaiian transfer route isn’t instant (and I’ve never tried it, so I can’t confirm it actually works).
//not sure why anyone would want to convert to HHonors though :p
I did not realize that i can get gold starwood with A platinum card. i downgraded my platinum to green last week, u think i can still upgrade my starwood or is too late? ty
I have 100k points with Amex. Do think it make sense for me to move to hawaiian for 20% and use it with their partner airlines to fly to India from SFO ? will i need to pay too much on fuel surcharge? I am only planning to fly economy so that my whole round trip will be covered ?
Any help with be great
How do I go about booking with a partner airline
