Hyatt announced today that they will acquire the Dream Hotel Group. The purchase should close within the coming months.
“Dream Hotel Group properties are known for their vibrant dining and nightlife experiences including hotspot restaurants, lavish entertainment venues and exclusive night clubs built on strategic collaborations with innovative and award-winning industry leaders. ”
That includes 12 hotels and 24 more hotels under development, which will fully participate in World of Hyatt after the deal closes..
- Dream Hotels are currently in NYC Downtown, NYC Midtown, Miami South Beach, Nashville, Hollywood, CA, Bangkok, and Doha.
- Opening in 2023 is the Dream Valle de Guadalupe and Dream Memphis.
- Opening in 2024 is the Dream Atlanta, Dream Cleveland, Dream Dallas, Dream Las Vegas, Dream Oklahoma City, Dream Palm Springs, and Dream San Antonio.
- Also in development is the Dream Louisville and Dream Miami.
- The Chatwal New York is currently a Marriott hotel, and will switch to Hyatt under this acquisition. The Chatwal Lodge Catskills will join Hyatt.
- Opening in 2023 is the Chatwal Valle de Guadalupe and in 2024 the Chatwal San Miguel de Allende.
- Unscripted Hotels are currently in Durham.
- Opening soon is the Unscripted Eco Resort Belgium.
- Opening in 2023 is the Unscripted Tulum.
- Opening in 2024 is the Unscripted Oklahoma City and Unscripted Wichita.
- Dream Hotel Group also operates The Time New York.
- Opening in 2023 is the Cas en Bas Beach Resort by Dream Hotel Group St. Lucia, The Bight by Dream Hotel Group Turks & Caicos, and Emma & Elissa by Dream Hotel Group Playa del Carmen.

Any chance any of the NYC ones will be eligible for anniversary nights?
Probably. They are selling for about 200 a night so no going to be above cat 4.

Chatwal Catskills 90k per night – is that a joke ? Or is this the beginning of the end for hyatt….
So 90k is the peak rate for a standard suite at the highest category all inclusive … but it seems that they classified their base room as a standard suite so there is no possibility of booking anything less ….and throughout the entire year there’s only a handful of standard nights at 80k and no off peak at all……
