With room occupancy in hotels across the world way down many hotel groups are copying Hyatt’s annual offer to earn free nights.
Hyatt’s typical offer is clean and simple, stay twice at any Hyatt and get a free night at any Hyatt.
Starwood has copied it, with the caveat being that the free night must be used on a weekend.
Priority Club has also copied it, but with a myriad of restrictions.
The nice thing about it, is that you can book 2 nights in a holiday inn express and get a free night in an Intercontinental.
Here are the Priority Club rules:
-Stay any 2 nights between 05/04-07/03
-Get a free night between 07/03-12/26.
But unlike the other hotel offers there is a maximum of 4 free night for the PC offer, and even your paid nights do not earn any points or qualify for elite status. Even stranger is that if you do happen to stay more then 8 times in a PC hotel you still wont earn points, even though you maxes out the promo (what are these guys thinking???)
Additionally the free stay is capacity controlled, and once you book the free stay there are no changes allowed!
Here is a link from where you can actually check if your desired hotel has capacity for the free night promo.
I’m still waiting for Hyatt’s offer to return, June and August are the rumored start times for this year’s promo!
