Hyatt recently matched Starwood’s no capacity control policy on free night stays.
Their annual industry-leading faster free nights promotion which gives a free night good at any Hyatt worldwide after just 2 stays is expected to make its return in September, so it may be worth waiting until then to sign up for the trial.
Platinum status normally requires 5 stays or 15 nights at a Hyatt.
As a Platinum member you get:
-15% bonus points on stays.
-Platinum Extras awards.
-Free Wi-Fi at all Hyatt hotels.
-Best room available within your booked category.
-Guaranteed bed type.
The trial period lasts 120 days. If you stay 5 nights at a Hyatt during the trial you will retain Platinum status through 02/11.
If you stay 15 nights at a Hyatt during the trial period you get top-tier Diamond status which normally requires 25 stays or 50 nights.
As a diamond you get a 30% point bonus, complimentary Regency Suite upgrade, a welcome amenity, 4 electronic confirmed top suite upgrade certificates, and more.

if i signed up last year can i do it again? my free clear card expired (i did not want to pay 179 for this year) can i renew it with this offer?

depending upon ur expiration date, u were supposed to call to Clear & receive another comp year b/c of that Hyatt promo
