Get A 100% Bonus When You Buy Hilton Points
From now through 3/8, you can get a 100% bonus when you buy Hilton points.
For example, 80K points are normally $800 and with this sale you’ll get 160K points for $800. That’s just 0.5 cents per point.
Need more than 160K points? Friends and Family can transfer Hilton points to each other for free, so you can buy points from multiple accounts and then transfer them!
Earn points with the Hilton Aspire Card, The Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, or the Hilton Surpass Card.
That will only make sense to buy if you have a specific redemption in mind or if you need more points to have enough to redeem for a 5 night stay, but I wouldn’t buy points speculatively due to the risk of devaluation, room availability, and hotels being able to leave the Hilton brand.
If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status you get the 5th night free on all award redemptions.
When will it make sense to buy points? An overwater villa with a private pool in the Conrad Maldives can cost $1,500-$3,500 after tax, but its bookable for just 95K points. That’s like paying $475/night with points from this deal. If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status and stay for 5 nights you’ll need just 76K points/night or just $380/night if you buy points for 0.5 cents each.
5 nights in the Maldives is pretty much the definition of Heaven on Earth. Read more about the Conrad Maldives here.
The Maldives are currently open for Americans.

Most Hilton hotels are capped at a cost of 95K points per night for a standard room, but the new Waldorf Astoria Maldives costs 120K points/night. If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status and stay for 5 nights you’ll need 96K points/night or just $480/night if you buy points for 0.5 cents each.
Best of all, the Waldorf Astoria Maldives now allows for point redemptions on overwater villas with a pool!
That’s an incredible value compared to the paid rates:
The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal is now bookable for 120K points per night as well. It’s Trip Advisor’s top ranked hotel in Cabo and is Travel + Leisure’s World’s top resort in Mexico this year.
Similar to the Waldorf Astoria Maldives, you’ll need a whopping 120K points per night, though with Hilton’s devalued currency that’s still a bargain.
With a 5 night stay you can pay 96K points per night with the 5th night free award that is available to Hilton cardholders and elites.
Even the base rooms come with a private plunge pool.
Sample paid rate versus the points rate:
That’s $6,735 after tax versus 480K for a 5 night stay, a value of 1.4 cents per Hilton point. That value will vary by date, but is very good for Hilton points. You can currently buy points on sale for just 0.5 cents each. 480K points would cost $2,400 or $480/night, a fraction of the paid rates at this hotel.
Chabad of Cabo has tourist information on their website and operates a kosher restaurant. They’re located just 1.2 miles from the Waldorf! Discuss more about Cabo on DDF here.
The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem has gotten stingier with the King Superior room space required for a standard points booking. When there is space the rate is 95K points per night. That’s $475 per night with this deal. Given that the hotel’s rates aren’t always that high, you’ll need to see what rates and availability look like for your dates. If you have a Hilton credit card or elite status and stay for 5 nights you’ll need 76K points/night or $380/night with this deal.
The Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem is one of the finest hotels in Israel.

There is a mind-boggling quantity of awesome kosher food at the hotel’s daily breakfast, from dozens of daily hot dishes to hard cheeses, fresh fruits and pastries to fresh squeezed juices, as well as on-demand dishes like french toast, pancakes, waffles, and eggs. Unlimited wine, hot or cold chocolate drinks, and espresso drinks are included as well!
Breakfast is free on points stays if you have Gold or Diamond status, which you can get just by having a Hilton credit card.
With a breakfast like this, you may not even be hungry for dinner…

Are there any hotels in the US where a multiroom suite or villa is considered a ‘standard room’ like how the Conrad is in the Maldives?
An overwater villa with a private pool in the Conrad Maldives isn’t bookable for just 95K. It’s over 400K points
Just searched a random date, 2/21.
95K for the water villa.
Thanks. I see it. You’re referring to the water villa. It didn’t show up since it’s not available most days in the next month.
Dan,
Am I doing something wrong here? I have Hilton diamond elite status, but the Cabo Waldorf rooms don’t reflect standard room rate for award stay. For a March stay, it shows premium reward rate and 439k points/ night. And no fifth night free. Advice?
Use the flex calendar to find dates with award space.
The Waldorf in Cabo doesn’t release standard award nights to at least 30 days out. My wife and I were booked for months at the Hilton then about three weeks out they released rooms at the Waldorf. Amazing hotel but nearly impossible to get standard reward nights, harder than the Waldorf in Jerusalem.
Thanks! Super helpful
Thanks Dan!
looking for dates in july and the water villa isnt available for 95k then. Anyone have info on if and when the open up award space on the water villa?
I looked into using points at a number of top Hilton properties and then buying points and in every case, for my dates of end march early april chol hamoed the cash price of the room was less money than the points even under this promotion. The amount of points on some of these rooms was insane. Didnt find anything that made sense and Chase Sapphire points were a much greater value to use based on the cash price of the room. Just my experience.
