As of today, JetBlue will no longer match Frontier Gold status. However, readers have been able to match Frontier Gold to Southwest A-List, which does match to JetBlue Mosaic 2…for now.
Frontier is offering Southwest Rapid Rewards members the ability to purchase Gold status for $40 through 4/30.
Status expires 12/31/25.
If you don’t yet have a Southwest account, you can earn 750 points for opening one.
Frontier Gold status allows for free changes and cancellations up to 7 days before a flight for everyone on your reservation, a free carry-on bag, preferred seating at booking, premium seating at check-in, upfront plus seating 4 hours before departure, and zone 1 boarding.
Once you’re on the elite status gravy train, you may also be able match to other airlines.
- You can match Frontier Gold to JetBlue Mosaic 1.
- You can match JetBlue Mosaic 1 to Delta Gold.
- You can match Delta Gold to United Gold, American Platinum, and Southwest A List.
Note that those matches will typically only last for a few months unless you meet the status challenge, and that you are limited for how often you can match. Read the terms before enrolling!
Some airlines will require proof of activity before matching, so your mileage may vary.

It shows up in my Frontier account, and I submitted the form to JetBlue yesterday, but kinda seems like it went into a black hole… didn’t even receive an email confirmation that I submitted it.

but his post didn’t say that within minutes Jetblue would pull the stats match or warn that this was a possibility. With all due respect this is yet another example of a headache that is presented as seamless. Its a common theme here. I appreciate the attempt but maybe layout the risks before making promo videos saying how easy it is to get all these status matches when within 5 minutes of posting this nonsense the entire scheme is unraveled.

I don’t think you can get AA Platinum, only Gold. JetBlue status match from Frontier Elite Gold will only get you to Mosaic 1, which will only result in AA Gold. Mosaic 2 will get you Platinum…

Based on various Google searches, I rolled the dice and paid for only 1 Frontier elite status. I’m now in middle of the process of rolling it over into other airlines’ elite status.
I matched my AA gold to Delta and I got a email from delta that I’ve been upgraded to “Silver” not gold
That’s not what I wrote to do in the post.

I took a screenshot of my Frontier profile which showed my name and the elite gold status and submitted that. I was approved for A-List.
Interesting – if I do that, it will show 0 travel miles, which I suspect is exactly what they’re (not) looking for.
I also wonder if it depend on what rep one gets on the “back end”, and how much attention they’re paying.
Did your Frontier screenshot show 0 miles?

It looks like Frontier Gold will no longer qualify you for Mosaic. I just got off with customer service and their website has been updated to show that. However, I was able to use Frontier Gold to qualify as A List on Southwest, and that is listed as a qualifier for Mosaic!

That’s only for Mosaic 2. Mosaic 1 didn’t have that requirement. But regardless they removed Frontier Gold as a match option.
Follow up to this: now they won’t let me status match using Southwest A-List because the initial status match using Frontier Gold failed, and they only allow one status match every 24 months
Hi, did you try matching using Gold and they denied you and they wont let you match? Or, is it just that they won’t match again.
Both. They denied Gold because (it seems) they changed the status match, and then they wouldn’t let me reapply using A List because they said I’d already tried to status match (and they only let you do it once every 24 months). Follow up with customer service so far has not helped.
It appears so, however, I still have a form open with it saying Frontier gold to JetBlue Mosiac is still an option. Should I go through with the form and submit or try another way?
Would you be willing to screenshot it and send me a copy? I’m wondering if that would help! Meantime, if it was me, I would go with Southwest as the match.

JetBlue asks for a screenshot of a flight with Southwest WHEN YOU HAD A-LIST. So it wont work if you do this I tried. Waste of time.
Try another path that will yield Mosaic 1.

@Dan I tried to match Delta Gold to United, but they’re saying the “Valid Thru” date must be 1/31/26 or the match won’t be honored. Any workarounds?

Jetblue is claiming that Frontier Gold did not work as early as April28th. I submitted the status match then. Does anyone have a screenshot that can prove that they changed it yesterday?

Update: When I put in the application on May 5 with AA it was up to 10 business day processing time. I just spoke with AA if they have an update. They said that due to the high amount of application since in May, as of May 8, it is now a 4 week processing time.
