You can save 20% on Hertz Rewards points rentals reserved by 12pm ET on Thursday, 12/12. It’s worth noting that the email I got says the 12pm ET deadline, but the website says that you can book “through 12/12.” Book before noon to play it safe as I’m not sure which is correct and Hertz has not yet responded to my inquiry.
For example a free rental day is normally 750 points and is 600 points with this offer. A free rental week is normally 3,750 points and is 3,000 points with this offer.
It’s more than points rentals cost before their sneaky devaluation earlier this year, but it’s better than nothing.
Hertz points now expire unless you rent a car every 18 months, so this is a good opportunity to extend the validity of your points.

The fees are pretty low as they exclude all percentage fees. Much lower than what Hertz.com quotes.
I got quoted about $20 in fees for a full-size for one day and $25 for a premium car. That is pretty low but are you saying it’s actually lower than that quote?

Meaning that the reservation will show a few small fees. For example, a few dollars for an airport fee. The big fee that will show up is taxes, but your aren’t actually going to be charged for that.
it depends, if you rent from an airport than the fees are much more
in my experience, on the official website, they say you have to pay taxes and fees, but I rent already 2 times in LGA for a week and only pay 3 dollars in fees, and in other locations, they charge all taxes and fees.
@dan please make sure to note that if you cancle a rental booking that you booked with points even after 1 day you will loss 50% of your points

they mentioned blackout periods apply, but doesn’t tell you what they are. anybody know?
Hi Dan i had the chase buissness preferred for a year and want to get rid of it to avoid the $95 fee should i downgrade to a diff ink card or close it as it doesnt affect credit report anyway being that its a buiss card? and what would i downgrade to? thank you very much!
