The AMEX Consumer Platinum and AMEX Business Platinum Card offer a plethora of travel benefits.
AMEX has long offered the ability to get a 4 hour return grace period with CDP code: 211762
As of today, primary and secondary consumer, business, and corporate Platinum cardholders can enroll here for Hertz President’s Circle Status or they can upgrade their existing Hertz accounts here. If that doesn’t work you can also email hertzstatusmatch@hertz.com.
Benefits include skip the counter and e-return, the widest vehicle selection, guaranteed upgrades, free additional driver, and more!
Just think twice about extending your Hertz rental if you don’t want to wind up in jail.

Basically Presidential circle is not worth zero
With so much president circle out there just wonder how long before this status will be worthless
Honestly, with that annual fee, even with all the various coupons, it better be giving out some worthwhile status. I think Amex is going to find itself shot in the foot pretty soon.
Does this apply to all Amex platinum cards including the delta Amex platinum?
No.
Authorized green card users on a platinum probably not included?
can I up it from presidential circle to platinum? with this deal?
In your dreams 😀

Webpage of link provided doesn’t mention anything about presidents circle. When does that upgrade take effect, and will I be notified of it?
Just signed up and in the email confirmation it says president’s circle
anyone having issues with the link

Doesn’t seem to work.
In August I was at Chicago’s Midway. In the Presidential Circle lot there were exactly 5 Suv’s. One was out of order, another had it’s keys misplaced, 2 more the attended said were reserved. Basically only one vehicle was available. I ask the attendant of I can go to the other lot (gold) she said absolutely not.
So I just took the Subaru with 30k miles on it.
if you rent a medium size or up and your PC should be able to go to any aisle
The fact is they didn’t let me go to another aisle. I did rent a medium size and got a suv. So all in all it was a good deal but there were no choices of cars available.
You’re not supposed to ask questions, just go…
Existing account link doesn’t work
great, offering this so wide range will in effect devalue the status in certain places, like fll for example. had good luck there last year , maxima and bmw 3 series.
the point of it is to status match to executive elite
Hertz workers don’t realize Amex has the 4 hour grace period. I rented a car using Amex CDP because the timing of my flights I needed the extra 4 hours. I paid $35/day to upgrade the car. When I returned it, they charged me the upgrade of $35 x 2. I had to fight with them on that charge. They told me “be grateful we didn’t charge you the daily rental too when you dropped it off so late”.
Cant get link to work
