I flew with my wife and kids from Cleveland to Boston last Monday and from Boston to Newark last Wednesday. They were booked as 2 one-way tickets.
The Cleveland to Boston flight posted to my account on Sunday and the Boston to Newark flight posted today, along with this little bonus thanks to Family Pooling:
I’ll get around to writing a trip report one of these days 😉 , but suffice it to say that JetBlue Mosaic is amazing and the flights were great. I haven’t flown JetBlue since doing a 13BM for free tickets to Aruba some 4 years ago, but there’s no doubt that they are heads and shoulders above their continually devaluing competition.
Now I just need to apply for the JetBlue Plus World Elite Mastercard to get back 10% of my points every time that I redeem them.
Where did you fly for JetBlue’s Points Match promotion and what will you do with your your windfall?

I banked 1.5M B6 miles. Created accounts for all my family members and I have a lot.
Too bad Beer Sheva lost today that would have been another good thing today
Flying tomorrow JFK to boston and back with an hour stopover in between.. hopefully it all goes smoothly.
@Moishe:
Wow, nice!
@Sol:
Good luck and enjoy the points!
Went in and out of Fort Lauderdale yesterday. How long does it take for the miles to show up in your account?
I did a company paid day trip to Boston from NYC and got my bonus miles within a week. Jetblue really is head and shoulders above anyone. I just upgraded to the Jetblue elite card and can’t wait to use my miles for Bahamas, Bermuda or Aruba. I also just picked up the Amex Platinum card and can’t wait to use my Global Entry and Lounge access.
Also booked a United RT to Paris using your tips and 4 nights using Hyatt Points at Hotel Du Louvre.
Thank you for all the great advice!!!
@Fan:
Lol, read the post please!
@Albert:
Wow, nice! Enjoy your travels!
Even sweeter when it’s using OPM (other people’s money) 😀
@Sol
Me too..4:40pm?
All 5 of us going Long Beach to Las Vegas this SUN-TUE for only $29 each way & it wasn’t even a sale! Great timing…get super low hotel rate & come back day before school starts!
@SoCal Dude:
Wow, that’s fantastic!
@Matt
I’m on that 4:40! Flying back into Newark on the 7:05…
My sister and brother in law are flying with their 4 kids including a 6 month old to boston on sunday and staying overnight, the kids dont know who “dansdeals” is but they are very excited for the trip!first time on a plane as well!
Did Nyc to Bos for a day trip yesterday for the promo. Flights were fine especially when they upgraded me to even more seats for free on the return bec of Mosaic . But the hour delay on both legs and the lack of information on that was a tad displeasing. Haven’t had that with SW most of the time which is my usual domestic airline.
Off to Boston with the Wife Sunday morning and coming back Monday morning. $180 round trip for the 2 of us.
Wish the posts would have specified that flights have to actually be flown (not just booked and no show), converted points to virgin and paid for flights x 2 only to find out today that if flights were unattended, not eligible for promotion… Live and learn.
@Yitz:
DD DO!
@Eli:
Fun!
@Disappointed:
Um. They did. Many, many times.

“JetBlue is offering bonus points for flying 1 round-trip ”
“You just need to book and fly on any paid roundtrip”
“You need to actually fly.”
“You need to fly”
Hey Dan, Was nice meeting you guys in the airport in Boston! Thanks for everything you do!
@Thanks!:
Always fun bumping into fellow DD’ers, thanks for saying Hi 🙂
Just flew today Newark-Boston-newark!
Fly NY to Boston round trip on the same day this past weekend. I hope the points all post. I also had Mossaic as I was matched from a different airline. Was very happy with the JetBlue service.
@disappointed
There is still time for you to book a round-trip and fly before the end of August to get all of your points. Why don’t you just do that?
@disappointed
Post what city you’re leaving from and maybe I can find you a cheap quick round trip
Jfk-Bos roundtrip about a month ago. Stayed for two days in Hyatt and got 6 cop thanks yo registering for the 10% back for Chase cardmembers
Just flew today Newark-Boston 1hr. Stopover, at least 2 others DDealers on the flight, thanks Dan now waiting for miles to post.
Did a FLL-JAX back and forth, got back on same plane, minutes after de planing!
Was gone from FLL 21/2 hours. Had no time for a trip!
Thanks Dan!
Flew round-trip and spent this past weekend in Washigton DC. BDL-DCA for $66 round-trip. Can’t wait for the bonus points to post!
What do you plan to do with all your VX points?
I never find VX flights mia – nyc.. its like they are all sold out till next year ?
I flew EWR to BOS. $120 round trip, 30 minutes between flights. There were at least 7 other people I saw who did the same.
One question I had is that I bought each leg separately, not round trip. Is that going to be a problem?
I sent my son on a flight today, he is in the airport and some guy walks over to him to see where he is going, the guy asks “and coming right back”? My son says yes, he says, there is a whole group of us…. Like 30 people did the round trip, same plane, same flight attendants! My son did enjoy my mosaic status, thanks to United and Dansdeals
Chicago next week for business and back same day. Likely using points for family trip(s) to Miami.
@Chevron:
They operate it November-April only.
@Thenewguy:
Read the post 😀
@My son:
Awesome!
Flew jfk-bos-jfk today. Left 9:19. Should have been back about 12:15 but we needed to go back to gate bec they came to shlep some lady off the aircraft. It was scary for a bit but landed back at 1 in Jfk and home to crown heights by 1:45. Very excited about the points to post. Plan on going mint somewhere (I have 60+ from prior activity) and a couple or even 3 jetblue cards coming.
Jfk to Burlington round trip. 4 hours in Burlington..took bus to town walked back to airport for excercise for the week. Return flight delayed 3.5 hours. Awaiting compensation from blue

Just read about this JetBlue miles bonus. I’m willing to fly from all 3 NYC airports but
Can’t find anything less than $300-400. Any suggestions ? I can fly Monday till Wednesday .
Thanks
@Sara: If you just found out about you’re too late. You needed to send JetBlue a screenshot of Virgin America points balance the first week in July.
doing my first mileage run on 08/27 between LAS – LGB… Using southwest points to fly to LAS from PHX 🙂
Bonus for “family pooling”, no write up on that. You mean im going to have to research it myself?
BTW flew JFK-BTV RT points didn’t post after 14 days, filled out the online request form and they posted immediately.
Did mileage run to Boston with wife and another couple. Was awesome!!! Mileage posted in 5 days.
Family pooled miles together.
Did bunch of stuff on trip:
Duck tours-Best Guide Ask for Flo!
Milk St Cafe- Lunch. Good sushi, salad etc.
Quincy market-wife shopped Lo end shopping, I whipped some randoms playing chess in the square
Copley Mall-High end shopping
Jerusalem- Israeli Delicious Baby chicken, falafel, hummus, etc.
Fenway Park- Last shot of seeing Big Papi, very quaint ballpark.
Uber is VERY cheap!
Spectacular day!
does it need to be a round trip or can it be 2 one ways /??into different airports
@Anonymous:
Read the post.
I did JFK-SAV on Tuesday-Wednesday for $136 RT. The Savannah DDF thread is crickets quiet, but I’ll hopefully be making some noise there soon. All I can say is that I highly recommend it. Close, easy, cheap trip – really nice city.
One bone to pick with B6 is that we booked aisle-window near the back hoping to have the middle stay empty. On the way I saw the seat was taken, so I changed to a middle-window toward the front of the plane. But on the way back, it was empty all the way up to the gate, so I asked the gate agent if we could bring our infant car seat on (it was near bed time for the baby). No dice. We had the extra space, which was nice, but it was annoying that they wouldn’t let us bring the car seat on.
Anyone know how to use a promo code when using miles? I want to buy a Virgin flight with miles,and I also got a 15% code form them. Can they combine?
