Update, 1/10: The 25% Chase-JetBlue bonus ends today!
Originally posted on 11/15:
You can currently get a 25% transfer bonus from AMEX (through 11/30) or Chase (through 1/10/24) to JetBlue.
The normal AMEX to JetBlue transfer ratio is 1:0.8, so this bonus only brings it up to 1:1. AMEX only charges a cash fee for transfers to domestic airlines, something that no other bank does.
Chase points normally transfer to JetBlue at a 1:1 ratio, so this brings it to a very respectable 1:1.25.
For example, a flight from Newark to Fort Lauderdale on 12/18 is $44.90 in basic economy or $69.90 in economy:
Or you can book economy for 4,100 points + $5.60.
If you are fine with basic economy, that’s a value of just 0.96 cents per point ($44.90-$5.60/4,100), but if you would book economy that’s a value of 1.57 cents ($69.90-$5.60/4,100) per point. With the 25% transfer bonus, that’s makes Chase points worth 1.96 cents each.
You’ll have to make that calculation for your own travel, as the value of JetBlue points can vary greatly.
In other news, you can now book Hawaiian Airlines and Qatar Airlines travel with JetBlue points. Just search for travel on JetBlue.com and click use JetBlue points to search:
Of course, Qatar allows Hamas leaders to have a headquarters there, and I don’t recommend flying on Qatar for as long as that remains the case. But it’s still great to see JetBlue working on improving their program!

@dan I think it’s important to point out in the article an additional difference between Chase and Amex transfers to Jetblue. Amex charges a “Excise Tax Offset Fee”. for 100k – $60 while chase doesn’t.
True, added.
if you were going for status and all is the same, would you go for Jet Blue or delta?
Depends on what level, but probably neither are really worth the spending it would take.
chase to jetblue when does it expire?
“You can currently get a 25% transfer bonus from AMEX (through 11/30) or Chase (through 1/10/24) to JetBlue.”
Is this the first time Chase has a transfer bonus to Jetblue? (I don’t remember them doing it in the past couple years)
Yes!
Is this worth a speculative transfer from Chase?
when does bonus expire?

does it make sense that the bonus appears on the account later?
because i transferred 50k points and only 50k appeared in my jetblue account
Where did you transfer from Amex or Chase?
was chase. the 25% bonus came through a few minutes later
Isn’t the “value” of each Chase point 1.5 cents if you buy the flight through the Chase portal and have their Reserve card?
Yes, but you can get 1.96 in the example I gave.
qatar always historically housed hamas leaders. have you ever endorsed flying them in the past? q suite>? MLE? etc… did your position change after 10/7?
What does “endorsed” mean? I have never personally flown Turkish or Qatar in the past, but I don’t blame people for flying on them. But in the post 10/7 era, either of those airlines is going to get a special call-out like this.
What does Hamas have to do with MLE?
hamas doesnt have to do with MLE. qatar flies there. when i say endorsed, i refer to the qsuite or to using partners points etc flying on qatar to there
did you not fly qatar bec of the country hamas connection or did you not fly because the ticketing didnt work out on the airline whether the points, scheduling etc?
I’m not your Rabbi, mashgiach, or mashpia.
I provide information and people can ask for guidance on what is proper for them. This is not the place for people to find personal guidance.
During wartime, I provide additional context as appropriate.
my point was that although your additional context is appropriate and i wasnt suggesting otherwise, nor was i asking for guidance or advice, i was asking why in the past you failed to mention that qatar houses hamas leadership and i am almost certain that you mentioned the ability to fly via doha etc whilst hamas has been terrorizing israel and jews (and arabs in gaza) for two decades
Why not ask Israel and Bibi why they encouraged Qatar to do that and pay Hamas?
Israel was fooled by Hamas and their intentions. That changed on 10/7.
Does Jetblue charge fees and surcharges for international award redemptions? I am looking at JFK to LHR roundtrip it only quotes me the amount of points and doesn’t allow me to see the final page as I have not yet transferred my points over. Anyway to tell how much ill be charged in fees for such a flight?
around $5 way there and $184 way back
Is this technically the best way to book savor award QSuites? 52.500 after the transfer bonus is pretty sweet, no?
Yes
How come none of the available is showing up on JetBlue website for mint/QSuites? Do I need to call them? I see the availability on AA
In the second sentence of this paragraph: << If you are fine with basic economy, that’s a value of just 0.96 cents per point ($44.90-$5.60/4,100), but if you would book economy that’s a value of 1.57 cents per point. With the 25% transfer bonus, that’s makes Chase points worth 1.96 cents ($69.90-$5.60/4,100) each.
Shouldn't the calculation in parentheses be ($69.90-$5.60/3,280) ?
($69.90-$5.60/4,100) should have been on the previous line for the 1.57 calculation, thanks.
The 1.96 math for the value of each Chase point is correct, either by using $69.90-$5.60/3,280 or 1.57×1.25.
