- You can buy extra seats if you want to guarantee empty seats next to you by making the first name of the ticket EXTRASEAT with your last name. You’ll even get double your baggage allowance!

Use code: NEWYEAR
- Book by 12/13 at 11:59pm ET
- Travel 1/9-3/28.
- Not valid for Sunday or Friday travel.
- The code will only apply to flights where each way is at least $50 before taxes
- Not valid in MINT business class
- Valid on nonstop flights only
- Not valid on transatlantic flights
- Not valid on previous bookings
JetBlue writes that this isn’t valid on previous bookings, but if the price is now less with the code you can just cancel your trip for Travel Bank credit and then use that credit to rebook your trip.
For example on 1/16:
- JFK, LaGuardia, or Newark, to Fort Lauderdale or Orlando: $42.02 in basic or $67.03 in standard economy.
- JFK or LaGuardia to Nassau, Bahamas: $73.20 in basic or $98.20 in standard economy.
- JFK or Newark to Los Angeles: $92.02 in basic or $117.03 in standard economy.
- JFK to Cancun: $98.52 in basic or $123.52 in standard economy.
Note that in some cases, Blue fares may be very close or even cheaper than basic fares if the basic fare is below $50 before taxes and the blue fare is above $50 before taxes. Be sure to click on the fare to check the pricing:
For example, from NYC to Nashville it’s cheaper to book standard economy than basic economy!

Wish this would apply to award flights like it does with Southwest.
Where is the promo code applied? I checked but could not find anywhere on checkout for it.
You have to apply it when you search.
Just flew jet blue last night. Antisemitism was clearly displayed when they threw off an entire Jewish family because the father put his hat and jacket in the overhead bin. He was told it’s only meant for bigger luggage at first so he politely asked that after everyone boarded if there’s still room on top can he put his hat there. The stewardess Lily responded yes he can. And so after everyone boarded he placed his hat on top. We all sat on the plane for a half hour not knowing what the delay was. Then we saw security and they told him and his family(including young kids)to get out. This on the 9pm jet blue flight from Fort Lauderdale to Newark last night.
Any video?
So critical in these cases so it’s not a he said she said situation.
I don’t have a video. I saw people videoing when they were told to leave but doubt anyone would video him asking Lily for permission. Like who would even think they would get kicked off for that. And she told him he can! Dan do you know if legally you can get Jet Blue to release footage that they have from plane? Assuming they have cameras throughout the plane.
Planes don’t have cameras.
Any video is helpful.
Any video found yet?
is it valid for friday or sunday or one of the both is also not good
read the rules its clearly stated
Until when can these be cancelled at no fee
These apply to points flights too?
Are you sure about getting extra baggage if buying an EXTRASEAT? When I called the mosaic line I was told, this is not the case.
Yes, my grandparents did that and got extra bags.
Thanks for posting, After Holiday Travel is the best and Low Cost!
Oh man, so many questions (cancelations, applying points, weekends, etc.). Do a quick dummy booking on the app when you’re on the toilet. And if you called about baggage, and Dan didn’t, then you are probably correct about baggage :).
Any reason why this is a better deal than any cheaper flight found on Google Flights, such as Frontier?
Sorry for my ignorance, but hi, I’m new to flying… the last time I flew was to Isreal Yeshivah 16 years ago…
I’d like to book a flight for my wife and me NYCMiami midweek somewhere end January. I find it pretty difficult to navigate all of the options and concerns…
Also, I have plenty Amex platinum and chase mileage plus and business points. Can I cash it in for such a trip?
Thanks q lot for any advice
Frontier has no legroom, no customer service phone number, no free WiFi/entertainment (or any WiFi at all), no free drinks, no free snacks, no AC power, no credit card for free bags, etc, etc.
You can’t use this code with those points.
