Why do you say this Dan? Can you please explain?
Thanks
Does it ding your credit to apply? I’d rather sing it for the 20k offer oon a cc. Also if you do get it cant you get the annual fee prorated?
Tried to enroll for this online – Citibank posted that this must be applied for by phone only. Is it just me?
not sure. I just enrolled over the phone. The application process takes about 7 days. How and when should I apply the debit card to get the miles? Also, if you dont intend to use the card (like me), say you want the “Basic checking” the monthly fee is only $3.50 (with no minimum balance required). The other’s start at $9.00 per month.
Getting a debit card should not affect your credit rating at all.
Also Citi has many free checking offers, just do a search on this site for citibank.
$25.00 a year?!?!?!
is it worth it for the 10,000 miles?
As long as you cancel it within a year, then of course it is.
Do they have any fee-free checking accounts?
Yes, their checking account is free, read the most recent post for details on how to make it free when opening… This offer is amazing especially since they credited me twice 10,000 miles for opening the account (I placed multiple credit investigations!! Citibank absolutely rocks!! They have the easiest website to navigate by far compared to any other bank, and they have ons of features, like mailing out someone a check and they pay postage (even if its only a buck!!) and its easy to link , and view your citibank credit cards credit history
the new spg.com is up but they dont have the new options for cash and points….
