Q3 Reduced Mileage Awards Linky
Fly to select cities worldwide for 7,500 less miles than American Airlines regularly charges if you have the AAdvantage World Mastercard, Visa Signature, Select AMEX, or Business card!
To book these awards just call AA’s AAdvantage desk at 800-882-8880 and reference the following award code:
7,500 miles off Coach: TD8X7A
7,500 miles off Business/First: UC21X2A
You may be able to avoid the $20 phone booking charge by first placing a reservation on hold at aa.com and then calling up AAdvantage to have them reduce the cost of the award by 7,500 miles and ask for the fee to waived since it was originally booked on their website.
Note:
-People have had success with being able to originate from any “destination” city and fly to any US48 city for the discounted rate simply by holding the ticket on aa.com and then referencing the award code above to an AAdvantage agent to get the required mileage reduced by 7,500!
-People have also had success booking a one-way award for 8,750 miles (3,750 reduced miles)
-Neither are officially allowed, so your mileage may vary based on the rep you get!

If the 25k round trip is not available only the full awards of 50k round trip will this code make it half or it only works of the full saver?
excuse my ignorance but can i use ba miles.. are they partners.. and still get discount? if so , how?
Why is every TX airport listed besides the one I need?? (DFW)
@DFW: DFW is a hub. They generally don’t put hubs or major airports of theirs on this list. Haven’t seen JFK or LAX since I got my Citi card. On that note, is it just me, or are their airport offerings just getting worse over time?
@DFW:
One-way hidden city…
Hi dan just a BTW with american airlines award travel if you book with in 21 days there is a fee that can add up over 100 dollars sometimes. you can avoid this fee by ticketing a ticket for a date thats in month TO SAME AIRPORTS AND SAME FLIGHT and then wants it is ticketed you can change your date of travel for free to an earlier date even if its only a few hours in advance
Would we be able to use our BA miles? would be great if possible

NO WAY. ITS COMPUTERIZED. ITS AN OLD WIVES TALE
@me:
No, this is with AA miles only.
@Joe:
That’s nice. I personally know of people who were able to do that.
Anyone know when this deal will expire?
@Anonymous: Thanks. That makes sense.
@Dan:
Care to explain “One way hidden city?”
@DFW:
Book LGA-DFW-Waco. Get off plane in DFW and don’t board the Waco flight.
Of course if you have checked luggage that won’t work out so well…
@Dan: I’ve heard of people getting in trouble with the airlines for doing this as it violates their t&c’s, but I’m not sure if that was with paid or mileage ticket. Do you believe there is no risk?
Does this offer work without a CitiAAdvantage credit card too?
@Anonymous:
I’ve only seen rumors, never first-hand. Either way I don’t think that will care care if you do it once, but probably not a good idea to do it consistently.
A one-way ticket LGA-CLE on Continental is $800 but a one-way ticket LGA-CLE-PIT is $80. Hard to resist sometimes…
@ASK:
No.
@Dan: how about if it gets called in after putting it on hold? will the phone reps ask for a Citi Card?
@Dan:
Wow, that’s clever. That’s why I love this website 🙂
Do you think I’d be able to do that on the return, as well?
Waco – DFW – BWI, and just hop on in DFW? Or will they not allow that?
@DFW:
If you miss the Waco-DFW leg they’ll probably cancel the entire ticket.
@Dan:
That’s what I figured. Thanks for the info!
I just tried to book a flight using the code from Chicago to New York, and it didnt allow me to. They told me I needed to have a “citibank” bank account…
Dan, Can I reserve a ticket (an award ticket) online & redeem it by calling up and giving my advantage number etc?
