Fatima Labeche lives in Strongsville, OH, a Cleveland suburb just 8 miles from Cleveland’s Hopkins International Airport.
She posted a disturbing story on her TikTok this week that has gone viral.
In it, she said she’s a TSA agent and wished a passenger with an Israeli passport safe travels to Palestine. When the passenger said, it’s not Palestine, it’s Israel, she told her manager that he was harassing her, which entailed a secondary screening that caused the passenger to miss his flight.

We reached out to the TSA last night to learn whether they knew about this story and whether Fatima was still employed by the TSA.
The TSA responded to DansDeals today,
“TSA does not tolerate discrimination. This individual has not been employed by TSA for 14 years.”
They wouldn’t respond about whether the agency knew about this story or the reasons for her separation from the TSA.
But the good news is that she’s not currently in a position of power over passengers.

Now that TSA let us know she’s no longer an employee, nobody. That’s why I investigated it.
Why would she post this now, years later? Is she looking for glory? With that mindset I wonder where she is working now.

Under color of authority and motivated by religious animus, she used her authority as a federal law enforcement officer to wrongfully caused a person under to be deprived of the value of his scheduled flight. If it occurred there are criminal and civil penalties for that, if still covered by the SoL.
She knew exactly what she was doing and was not stupid. She wanted to trigger the passenger and let them know she was in authority. Her little contribution to the “movement.”If it actually happened. Totally premeditated, and then complain she is being harassed? And her sudden need for notoriety?

Very well could be a half truth or a misdirection.
Do we know whether she works for one of the private companies that are contracted to do some security screenings (think clear, pre-check, etc.)? Does TSA bring in outside staffing when they’re short on manpower?
Does she work as a baggage clerk where she could have had this interaction and then reported him to TSA?
Although it is technically possible that she was just lying for clout.

As I passed security at JFK on 3/5/2025, TSA was holding an obviously Charedi Jew who only spoke Yiddish. They asked me to interpret and explained he was flagged for a full pat-down because of a protein shake in his bag. Despite offering to throw it away, TSA insisted on waiting for a specialist to check his belongings, but the specialist was taking a very long time to arrive. I couldn’t wait any longer and had to leave, but unfortunately, he missed his flight.
That doesnt sound like out of the ordinary procedure. Its the TSA after all, not Disney World
I have had issues with DisneyWorld security. They also can be overzealous and accusatory.
I had the same experience twice. Once with protein shake, and another time with vanilla sugar. I guess that the system flags any type of powder as suspicious.
I had to wait for a specialist to check all my belongings. It took about half an hour the whole process. Fortunately I made it to both flights. But I learned my lesson.
Local or federal authorities should get involved for impersonating a federal agent
My guess is she used to work for TSA and used that information to create a divisive clickbait post that would attract lots of clicks from folks on both sides of the political issue. And it worked. Like the current administration: make an untrue but outrageous claim and reap the rewards.
This is totally not acceptable. I got the same when I travelled to Taiwan but people say China.
Why are we still made to take off our shoes, belt, watch, wallet, etc etc …? They have the technology to differentiate what’s a danger and what’s not. This dehumanizing that the TSA makes us go thru is for theater only.

No israeli I know, not to mention American Jew I know, would have gone thru this and not called it out — loudly — back then. 14 yrs ago? Sure thing. We got flooded with DM’s calling to get her fired and to take down the TSA for this.
Hopefully we helped set the record a bit clearer than it was.
So let me get this straight. You were flooded to get someone fired that hasn’t worked there in 14 years. Now that is some investigating reporting. If you want to set the record straight maybe investigate what is claimed to have happened actually did happen? You have done some excellent investigating reporting in the past. I would not die on this hill.
If it happened now, as it was presented and implied, we would have chase the story further.
As this happened more than 14 years ago, it didn’t seem worth persuing further, other than to let people know they can put down their pitchforks as she is longer employed by the TSA.
Maybe correct the title so no one gets the wrong impression? Start it off with “14 years ago did”?
Nobody knew it happened more than 14 years ago until the TSA told us that. That fact is not mentioned anywhere on social media.
Hence our investigation and this post, which ended when we found out that fact.
