Delta’s miles may be known as “Skypesos” for being worth far less then any other airline’s mileage currency, but they’ve announced some nice moves for their elites!
-Effective immediately, all Delta elites will be eligible for upgrades, even when traveling on an award ticket. These upgrades will clear in order of elite status, after paid tickets. This applies for all regions where free upgrades are normally gives, namely for flights to the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Mexico and Central and Northern South America.
-Complimentary upgrades for elite companions will now begin clearing 24 hours prior to departure rather than the previous 12 hours.
-Complimentary companion upgrades are now available on all fares. Previously discounted fares were excluded.
