In October, Air Canada suspended and then fired a 787 pilot with extreme anti-Israel social media posts.
In November, United quickly suspended a pilot with pay, after he made social media posts justifying Hamas’ actions. However, United has refused to respond to multiple requests for comment on that pilot’s current employment status since then.
And now Angello Garcia, a Delta flight attendant, posted on social media that “Israel must be dismantled” and “it’s clear who the terrorists are and it’s not Hamas.”
Delta flight leader Angello Garcia shares a story on his Instagram account – “it’s clear who the terrorists are and it’s not Hamas”.
This is a security issue @Delta – please
investigate. pic.twitter.com/NKfAf3iH9C— StopAntisemitism (@StopAntisemites) January 21, 2024
Angello Garcia is pictured with a “flight leader” badge, which is the lead flight attendant for a given flight. A flight leader is in charge of communicating with the pilot and making announcements to passengers. Typically the most senior flight attendant bids and is made the flight leader.
Delta has provided the following statement to DansDeals when asked about the status of this employee,
“Delta has been made aware of the situation and is currently investigating internally.”
The issue has been raised to Delta leaders and we will be following up with them for updates.
Flight attendants are constantly reminding us that they are primarily there for our safety. Would you feel safe flying to Israel with Angello Garcia as the flight leader?

I think he should go to gaza and show everyone his instagram and let us know how it plays out
If the IDF treat him like the three hostages they murdered – not well.
The above got through moderation?
So he’s literally on the “Gays for Gaza” bandwagon?
Next up, Chickens for KFC!
Typical leftist (‘Democrat’) behavior and ideology.
It’s ridiculous that every Jew must support Israel or else….. And its ridiculous that every non-jew must support Israel or else……
No has to support Israel, but if you say that Israel is a terrorist organization and Hamas is not, that means your values are totally warped and you are not safe to fly.
I actually believe that both are terror organizations. Israel has been terrorizing its citizens for decades with its weak border and immigration-for-work policies. I actually it think it has no right to exist given how many innocent jews have been killed due to the negligence of all the various coalitions and prime ministers in the past 25 years.
Let’s say you’re correct, the State of Israel ceasing to exist will somehow improve Jewish safety?
ceasing to exist as we know it, politically and ideologically. replaced with a more sane, upgraded model. one that won’t shoot $100,000 missiles at $10 ones…. you are blind if you cannot see how the current model is 100 percent and totally broken. cused too many precious jews to die in ‘the safest place for jews post holocaust’
Obviously there are issues that need improving but how exactly do you propose realistically accomplishing this “replacement”? And the missile example is strange considering that the logic is that human lives are more valuable than Tamir interceptor regardless of the cost of the incoming rocket but the cost differential is exactly why the IDF is currently developing and testing the Iron Beam.
Man, that is some sick outlook. They are terrorists because they are not doing enough to protect Jews? Ok, and how is Hamas not a terrorist organization because of that?
You arm terrorists and are not a terrorist? explain that
Ok, goodbye.
Your reasoning just told us that all of Europe, Canada, and the US is also a terror organization. Some whacky stuff.
no the citizens of these countries are not terrorists. but please understand. every leader of a country has a button on their desk, and when they push that button , they can unleash death and destruction on other humans within their borders and outside of them. being a politician in high office, or a world leader, is not for everyone. but regardless of it its for you or not, you need to understand that governments kill people. and not always is everyone they kill a terrorist.
it’s getting out of hand
the situation has been out of control for some time now. why the state of Israel gets a free pass year after year, while jews are being harmed makes no sense. time to wake up people and stop supporting Israel, because they allowed the enemy to stockpile 20-30k rockets and shoot them at helpless Israelis for decades. Dismantle the Zionist state!
No one said anything about supporting. Just don’t say this
“it’s clear who the terrorists are and it’s not Hamas”.
ok so hamas are terrorists. but if the reports that Israel (Bibi)built hamas up to weaken the PA are true, and Israel dropped the ball here and hamas got out of control, why doesn’t Israel get designated as a state sponsor of terror? its ok that innocent jews and gazan non combatants get killed over this political game being played in the holy land? wake up people its a game and we are the chess pieces.
With your logic, US should be designated as a terrorist state as we gave $ to Osama to fight the Russians. Or Britain in 1937 for signing the Munich treaty with Hitler and giving him $ and access to fuel. Bibi is Ben zonah (disputable) but making a leap to call Israel makes no logical zone.
The US did not give money to Osama. He was a mildly wealthy unimportant son. Who was part of a network of “Afghan Arabs” who joined the fight against the soviets. They were primarily funded by gulf Arabs including civilian donation boxes in. Saudi supermarkets. His older brother who was quite the character and quite western met with Russian arms brokers in London to purchase missiles among other sources. Then there were pashtun warriors supported by the Pakistanis and to some extent the US. They and the northern alliance (Uzbek tajik hazara and krgyz; the primary recipients of us aid) received the famous surface to air stinger missiles. The pashtuns were dismissive of the Afghan Arabs and said “we are here to fight, they are here to die”; osama and other gulf Arab mujahedeen were not a significant factor in the strategic landscape of Afghanistan in the war with the Soviets
It’s only ridiculous if there are two valid sides to this dispute. Do you believe that’s the case?
You don’t see any difference between simply not supporting Israel and saying that “Israel must be dismantled” and “it’s clear who the terrorists are and it’s not Hamas”??
Neturei karta bot
The above also got through moderation? This is clearly a troll.
seems like dans deals is in favor of allowing opinions from both sides to be heard. that’s a good thing.
Ahuva, please seek help, maybe the innocent gazans can help you
there are no innocent gazans, thery have become bloodthirsty killers because they have been driven to an insane madness by the zionists and the arab countries who have forsaken them. its time to deal with the issues in the holy land according to torah and Judaism, not some fake substitute for torah and Judaism
Will he fly to Ramallah?

https://www.dansdeals.com/points-travel/airlines/delta/hey-delta-which-airport-in-occupied-palestinian-territory-does-you-or-a-partner-fly-to/
I definitely would not feel comfortable or safe with him being the flight leader
People can believe what they want to believe as long as it doesn’t impact the level of service. What happens when pro Palestinian people start declaring that they don’t feel safe with FA or pilots who are outwardly pro Israel? Delta will feel pressured to fire them as well or risk lawsuits for discrimination. It’s a really slippery slope.
My concern begins when/if he acts against a visibly Jewish traveler. We all know that this has happened in the past. It is good he is known now.
We had an obnoxious male cabin attendant that made our trip to Israel miserable. I can tell you he was starting with the wrong party, there were grounds to open a file against him. One of my family members flying used to be a DA in Israel and had the connections.
On which airline?
Also Delta?
Actually not Delta. It was UAL. I had bad vibes all along but in the last 90 minutes he cracked. Because of age I assumed he was the purser but he was not. Another crew member interceded.
For every anti-Semite who posts publicly, there are many more who post anonymously or not at all.
1st Amendment rights? Context – he is discussing a foreign country and government (US is known for labeling foreign countries and their elected governments as _________).
There are no First Amendment rights to protect you as an employee.
He can say what he wants, but I wouldn’t trust him to safely transport me to Israel, when he calls for its destruction and neither should Delta.
I agree as an employee some personal time behavior can impact the company and employment.
In this specific argument – to accuse someone of potentially not being professional or doing his job safely (which is very heavily regulated and monitored in his industry) without any basis is wrong. All adult humans have bias and political opinion (even you and many airline industry professionals which deal with diverse clientele), and most are able to restrict those thoughts or opinions during their 9-5 role. Delta, United and every international US carrier can care less about individual transport to Israel besides the potential profit revenue, and safe return of the airplane.
Reminder (maybe stating the obvious but some statements seems a bit narcissistic) – airline professionals typically choose their routes. If I were this professional with his opinions – this wouldn’t be a route I would select or volunteer for so I think you are fine.
Employees on an airplane are essentially regulated safety officials mandated to keep you safe in the skys doing interstate commerce. When one openly supports a group of vicious rapists and genocidal loons who are against every aspect of a civilized society, they do not get a free pass for “bias” or “personal time”. We’re talking 100000 red flags. You folks are the same who want multiple background checks to buy a gun, but to operate an airplane carrying hundreds of people, you want all sorts of dangerous loons?
I don’t buy it.
There are no first amendment rights here. Hamas is officially designated by the U.S. State Department as a terrorist organization, and Hamas has officially declared the United States an enemy.
Material support for a terrorist organization is a federal crime, and providing support to enemies of the United States is a constitutional violation.
Social advocacy for a known TO is murky, but at the very least, had this ideology and comments been known when he had his background check and security clearance by TSA, he would most certainly have been red flagged if not failed entirely.
He can try to say Hamas are not the terrorists all he wants, be he’s going against the official designation of the United States government and that is an intolerable stance for someone cleared to a position of authority and security over U.S. airspace.
I wouldn’t feel safe flying anywhere with this individual. He is clearly totally disengaged from reality a person like that does not have the capability to be a flight attendant Delta, please fire him NOW
Exactly
And these are the same nasty stewardesses that became the mask Nazis during Covid. Mask up mask up mask up. No no, put your flimsy disposable mask over your nose. Yes, that includes while you’re chewing. All evil bas—ds. I say, to hell, all of them.
Don’t understand…is this flight attendant Garcia on one of the planes going to Israel? Sounds like he would refuse to go there. And if he can’t refuse, he’s going to crash the plane over Ben Gurion? And if he’s on another plane and sees me with a kippah, he’ll try to throw me off mid-flight? What exactly is the fear of this creature?
All violence starts with hate and this guy is obviously hates Jews! Additionally, if something happens on the plane the flight attendants are expected to come to our aid even if it puts them in danger. Would you trust this guy to do that for you?
If Delta doesn’t feel it is necessary to fire this clearly anti-sematic flight attendant I would not trust Delta with my children’s safety and will stop flying with Delta. I am sure many people feel the same!
