Any room. But the rate that you are submitting as being cheaper must be for the same room type as the higher rate on spg.com

do you actually have to BOOK it? or can you just “quote it” as booking it for money you need to put a deposit on some of them, and cancellation fee (so it seems?)?

Hi Dan – question about BA and AA. I managed to finally book a flight on AA using my BA miles. I paid the 7.50 with my AA card (the AAdvantage Citi Visa Signature Platinum Level Card that I got the 75,000 miles last year). How does the free bags work? When I go to check in, do I just show them my card? Do I need to do anything beforehand? What about for my wife and child – how do I get free bags for them?

im searching a ton of different dates and different hotels. do we have 1 specific night at a specific hotel that we know works?

i filled out a form and got this message “Error occured during claimform submission”. Im assuming it wasnt process. anyone else get this message?

For help to find a hotel use the dropdown on the Starwood website menu labeled “Competing Room Provider” and they’ll give you a lot of websites to find a better competing hotel prices!

if its a dollar less incl. tax does that count?

Does it need to be found online. I found cheaper rates for the St. Regis by calling a travel agent.

Not going to use the stay – 7/18 @ the W New York Downtown, Kayak $389 WHotels $429. Wish I could just grab the 2000 Standpoint. Hope this helps someone.

How stupid are you? If San or steve or anybody would post a date/place, 5,000 people would submit the same claim and starwood would pull their rate in no time. In order to finalize your claim at the Best Rate, please do the following within 24 hours:

1. Please make your reservation online via a Starwood website for the dates submitted in your claim.
2. Return this email with your online confirmation number.

When your confirmation number is received, your reservation will be modified to reflect the new, lower rate and the same room type offered by the competing provider.

You will receive an email confirmation that will include a file claim number when all has been finalized.
