I just got 2 free tickets to Thursday night’s game! Site is working again.

I signed up for Thursday and it said no more available and I just got another text that they found two tickets for me and had to reply “buy Islanders 2” and I got 2 confirmed tickets without adding credit card

First it said they are sold out then I got a text saying they found tickets and I won’t be charged. I replied to that text message and got two tickets to Thursday’s game. It said my CC got charged $100 but I never gave any CC information.

they told me sold out, but they just sent me 2 free tickets!

I was just able to get tickets a minute ago.

I did this when it first got posted, and now again (new email) and skipped the CC entry, and still haven’t gotten any magical texts giving me free tickets, and both accounts state I did not receive any credits.
Am I doing something differently than all you lucky ones?

it said i got two tickets for “thursday oct 26” but oct 26 is monday did anyone have the same thing?

This is a brilliant idea . Anyone who has been to any Islanders games in Barclays knows that there are tons of empty seats. One game last week only had 8500 people there. Even the home opener against the Hawks was far from sold out. So the Islanders might as well give away a few hundred seats. Besides that they will make some money from concessions, they will build a fan base.
I don’t know why the Mets never did this. Every year the first 2 months there are on average 25,000 seats empty to most games. The Mets should give them away for FREE, and eventually people will become fans and start paying. What do they lose, the seats are not being used.

@ Anthony B. The mets actually did something very similar to this via Twitter at the beginning of the 2013 season. They gave away free tickets.
