do you have to opt out of any ongoing publication subscriptions as a result of this promotion? just want to be aware of it in case I need to opt-out. thanks for the great post as I have been looking for this…
Dan-
approx. how long does it take to fill out?
Are there a lot of personally identifying questions (income, where you live etc.), or is it mostly general questions?
Thanks!
do you know if it will extend my current (free, btw) subscription?
for new wall street subscribers only
thanks just completed two surveys… one for forbes and the other for WSJ. don’t think i’ll read them, but hey… free is free!
@ david: It takes about five to ten minutes to complete and they don’t ask any personal questoins. You can even make up a name and email since none of it is verified.
you need to write a bunch of 25 word reviews. Mine said:
a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a
and copy and paste for the next review!
I just did it by just randomly checking out the answers and copy pasting the same review about 10 times it took about 5 minutes to do the whole thing
did all three, wsj, forbes and bloomberg…. all free
wow! that’s a lot of junk i just made up! all those reviews you gotta write! but it wasn’t too long, and free is free!
I am still waiting on my free 27 week subscription from the last time Dan posted this. Does anyone know if it should have been here by now?
i tried this last time. and i only receive the Barrons weekend edition. I hope i have better luck this time.
@rob:
It takes a very long time (2-4 months or so) for the subscription to start coming.
took a long time but was kinda fun tried for the Forbes too took less time
WARNING! At the end of the survey, after you are asked to pick your reward, they tell you it is for ***NEW*** WSJ subscribers only. So, they may have an out to not send you anything.
You might want to use your middle name.
Is this subscription valid for the web edition of the WSJ of only the paper copy?
I signed up to receive 39 weeks of the Wall Street Journal several weeks ago, and have yet to start receiving it. I wonder if there is a problem. Please let me know. Thank you
