Your social security number is optional as is your phone number. You don’t have to give it.

@jim: Insurance pulls are NOT hard pulls. It will not effect your credit score and the inquiry will not be seen by creditors when applying for credit.

Ditto – I thought it was a sign from G-d as my policy w/ eSurance just renewed and went up a bit and recently someone mentioned LM as a decent comparable Auto insurer. I went through the process, but even w/ esurance’s higher renewal rate, it’s still much lower than LM. Got the email w/ the quote info too, but no GC.

I received mine it was over email and it took a couple hours. They call 3 or 4 times a day now lol.

Bunch of liars still haven’t received any gift card from them but have been hounded with numerous phone calls and emails to sign up for their insurance

@qwerty: That will vary on a lot of factors, like: Insurance Score, Driving History, Years Licensed, At-Fault Accidents, Currently Insured (longer insurance history without a lapse gets much better rates).

I received my certificate a few hours later along with another email apologizing for technical difficulties they were having. I used my $10 cert and all went well. The next day I received a call trying to sell me the insurance. I have a perfect driving record without tickets or accidents and I’m almost 60. I would like to point out that the person tried to sell me insurance that was less the coverage I was presently getting in order to lower the cost of the premium. First, he wanted to sell me liability only and I said I had full coverage, next he tried to give me a higher deductible, then he tried to take payments automatically from my checking account and I said I didn’t do that. I kept catching him and correcting him all along. Ended up, that he gave me a monthly fee $10 higher then what I was paying presently. After I told him he was higher, he said what I was paying was a good price and no longer pursued the call. I would have went with Liberty Mutual if they monthly fee was lower. Be careful at the follow up phone call.

In the email reply it says that you only get the promo if you are an eBay customer and applied through eBay’s website . I guess that negates us oh well

@jollyjoe: it seems they added that rule it was the second email I got from them the first didn’t have any mention of that condition…

I e-mailed them the following question: If I can’t trust Liberty Mutual to honor a promotion why would I trust them with my car insurance? No response so far….

I got my GC a couple hours after doing this… I can’t believe so many people had problems.

I have emailed three times, each time the same response. The third time I got back the same email within an hour, but this time they had added CA to the list of states that were not qualified. I replied and told them they just added CA and the first two emails didn’t have it on the list. I think they were just trying to get rid of me, haha. I emailed again today. It’s been a week since I submitted a quote. Anyone find a phone number to call?

Did the quote with Liberty Mutual six days ago. NO card just the same email that I should have in in a couple of hours. Today after numerous emails, they send me an added line that says you have to be a current ebay member to receive it. Nothing was ever mentioned on their site. F-en liars and scammers.
