Our Minivan came with 3 months of free service when we got it, but we didn’t pay to extend it. I entered the VIN and started another free 2 month trial. No credit card was required.

is this only good if I have a car ?
Thanks!
Do you need to create the online Sirius account for the trial to start?
It’s only for used cars!!
@moishe:
Seems like it, but you can try it and let us know.
@Ari:
I think so.
@Avi:
Works on new cars as well, try it.
Hi, sorry I’m going off topic, but do you know anything about the free stickrtrackr that are being given away?
You left out the part that it wants to send a “activation signal when the radio is on” otherwise you have to call them. I am no where near my minivan.
All Set, Thanks!
SD has a thread where they tell you have to keep getting a very low 6 month rate on Sirius (like $4 or 5/month). I did that when my intro free 3 month subscription ran out.
Does anyone know if these 2-month free deal can stack with an existing, active subscription? I would think not, but who knows.
Do you know if we have to call up to cancel before the 2 months ends? Otherwise maybe they would send us a bill/invoice?
Do you know if we have to cancel before the end of the 2 months to avoid receiving a bill/invoice? Sorry if this posted twice.
Works. As long as you have the vin or xm ID u can pretty much put in anything in the information part. Thanks!
@iahphx:
I got an offer in the mail, 5 months for $19.99.
The 2 month trial is just for inactive subscriptions though.
@Joseph:
Doesn’t seem like there’s any need to cancel.
Thank you Dan. Also, do you need to create a username and password (assuming one was never created) or is there a way around this?
I@kevin:
If you’re not near your car you can activate it at a later time. read the instructions they provide….
Did this trial about 3 mnths ago same name got denied. Put in a different name and zip code and bingo 2 months free. they don’t check the email or name so you can have some real fun
@moishe: seriously?
Tischadash on your minivan (assuming it’s new cuz u used to have an Altima)….
@Hutch:
Wow, can’t beleive they don’t track by radio ID/VIN.
@Yaks:
Thanks, got an Odyssey when we added Talia last September. Might not be sporty but it’s so darn practical. And cheap to insure, $300 per 6 months covers the Ody and Altima.
3 years later and I’ve made it up to 12K miles on the Altima. I think at least half of those miles must be back and forth to CLE 😀
Wow! That’s insanely cheap insurance! I’m paying ~$700 for 6 months just for an odyssey! (Randomly I also drove an Altima until abt April and then upgraded to the odyssey) I’m in jersey so I guess hence the more expensive rate! Who do u use for insurance if I may ask?
@Sam:I saw that but then you have to call them with ESN/radioID. It would have been easier to do this when my I was near my van.
@Yaks:
Geico.
Life in CLE is cheap. Winter may be miserable but at least the summers are very pleasant.
@Kevin:
So then when you are near your car you can log back on through your email and password you created and they can send the signal to your car again.
@Sam: When you are in/near you car you can just go here: https://care.siriusxm.com/retailrefresh_view.action
@Dan: So only 1/4 of the year is miserable? 🙂
@Shlomo:
For jewish communities in North America, unless you’re living in LA (and paying millions for extreme housing prices, extreme tuition costs, suffering through traffic, having your kids overexposed to obscene billboards, etc) you’re guaranteed to have miserable weather at least 1/4 if not 1/2 of the year.
At least the summers here are pleasant, along the northeast corridor you have miserable winters and miserable summers.
“Marvin: I would like to inform you that you will be charged $15 activation fee.”
@Dan this is what the XM Radio representative told me before he disconnected with me. he said there was a $15 activation fee, but how would they charge me if I didn’t give them any information for payment?
@dan
Got both cars set up. Thanks again ! Keep the deals coming ……………….
All setup if it doesn’t work then call 855 MY-REFRESH and they’ll send out another signal- or you can use the web link to do the same
Worked like a charm.
@Joseph, they force you to create a fresh user / password, but don’t hesitate to use a made-up email address: they do not send any confirmation links as part trial of activation.
thanks, it worked and we will see about a bill.
Thanks it worked
Does it work in the odyssey even if I don’t have xm?
Thank again Dan!!
thanks… now im rockin that hip hop station in my camaro
