I would think the earlier works in the favor of most readers, (those who don’t get annoyed by spending 5 minutes to get a free trip to HI and then see that it’s dead)

Dan- I say post before verifying. The worst that can happen is we wasted 10 minutes trying.

dan your epic I would say post before verification to increase the chances by decreasing the time lapse from when the deal started. PLEASE DONT FOCUS ON THE NAY SAYERS.

IMHO Depends on the post. If it’s a airline glitch that won’t last 60 seconds just throw it out there and let the haters hate! Starbucks codes aren’t exactly going anywhere quickly..

the good outweighs the bad. and your site definitely has a bunch of great deals. if we click, we know that it may be dead already or soon. why must people be so angry? nothing ventured, nothing gained. I always say itw worth a shot!

I like what you do now… post only things that you check out beforehand (ie. that it’s real) otherwise why post it?

Typically, you fully explain what the promo is so we can judge if it’s something we want to do… if it’s a promo we’re entitled to.

In this case, there was no info. given about the codes.

I called starbucks customer service and she told me those particular codes are known fake circulating codes not produced by starbucks. Im not sure how some people here got it to work if that is true, but just a hint, she gave me a free complimentary star for my “trouble” with all this. Just call and be polite!

Someone posted the codes on DDF yesterday.
I didn’t know what they were so I tested it myself. It said it would take 24 hours.

As soon as they actually posted to my account I rechecked DDF where others reported this morning that they were still working. But by the time I posted this it seems like it they died.

Dan – thanks for what you do..how can people be upset if a promo etc doesn’t work…you can’t be expected to verify everything, and sometimes by the time the deal is verified it may be dead…..so a disclaimer, kind of the way you do sometimes – just saying I have yet to verify it would be awesome…so those who aren’t interested in checking it out just won’t and those who are, will sometimes post results for the community, saving you the hassle.

I was only able to use one code per day. I used MCATALINH yesterday and MCATALINM this morning. I received the maximum star messages, but I also earned the 10 stars. I’m hoping the third code will work for me tomorrow.

Have entered 3 of the four (including the one in the comments). Took perseverance and 3 days, but all of them except one have gone so far, will try the next one tomorrow after midnight.

Maybe they all are the same person that seems to follow me as I get older.
1)The kid who reminds the teacher before vacation is about to start that she didn’t assign us homework.
2)The person who doesn’t stop talking or asking questions and turns a 5-6 hour defensive driving course into a 7 and 1/2 course.

worked as of 1219!!

All 4 codes worked for me. Used mcatalinl and mcatalink yesterday and just received my 10 stars. Put in mcatalinm and mcatalinh today and it says I have another 10 stars coming my way, to be posted within 24 hours. I used all lowercase letters, if that makes a difference.

I thought Starbucks isn’t kosher, what can you get from there that’s kosher??

Is there a way to consolidate stars meaning transferring all stars to one accounts after using the codes in various accounts?

Im a die hard starbucks fan.

I usually accumulate anywhere from 100-150 stars a year through bonuses and purchases, these 20 just knocked it out of the park… I have 5 free rewards… Don’t even know what to do with all of them…

Thanks! Last night I entered the first two with successful messages, and by morning had 10 stars added to my account. I just entered the last two and received successful messages again. Only 2 stars away from returning to gold.

There is currently an April Star Dash going on – earn 30 stars in APril and get 20 bonus stars. I wonder if these 20 stars (codes entered in APril) will count toward the 30… That will make these codes even sweeter

It works but u can only do 2 a day and it taks up to 24 hours to show up.

Dan, TU for the heads up. i already had gold status and receive a free drink after every 12 stars. i received 10 stars yesterday and i see that they count toward renewing my gold status. however, they do not seem to count toward a free drink. are they supposed to work toward free drinks?
