From 2010-2015 we’ve all enjoyed earning statement credits for shopping on Small Business Saturday.
It was a fun run, but this year there will not be a statement credit offer in the US.
You can still enroll in bonus point promotions that will be valid for the rest of 2016:
-You can earn double points at small businesses by enrolling here. Earning 2 Starpoints per dollar is pretty sweet, and if you’re also targeted for this offer you can effectively earn 3 Starpoints per dollar.
You can also login to your AMEX Offers and see if you’re targeted for other bonus point offers such as:
-Triple points at Amazon
-Double points at Best Buy
-Double points on Lyft
-Double points at Target
-Double points at Home Depot
-Double points at Gap Inc online
-Double points at Pottery Barn online
-Double points at William Sonoma online
-Double points at Neiman Marcus online

Dan, do you know if this is from now on no more credits or just they haven’t said anything this year?
If I pay small businesses through PayPal invoices, will that get me double points? Thanks.
Not working with amex blue cash everyday card. Error wrong card type
@Amex:
AMEX confirmed it for me.
@Daniel:
Try and let us know.
@daniel you cannot use a amex card on PayPal.com
@Mensdel6:
Incorrect.
Discover is giving 5x points on Amazon this quarter.
How come I keep hearing on the radio that small business Saturday is Nov 26? What is on that date that they keep on advertising it for?
Spent 5000+ on sbs with business platinum card and got 1.5 for above 5k plus 1 point sbs for a total of 2.5 points/ dollar
@Jacob:
True, though 3 AMEX points can be worth more.
@Jo:
It’s still SBS, there’s just no consumer incentive for that day.
@Morche:
Yup, great deal.
Plus 2 cents value when you redeem them.

@Daniel: generally that doesn’t work. They usually have that written in the fine print that if your payment is processed through a third party you aren’t eligible. But might as well give It a try…
This year SBS came early with Staples, BJs, etc
Is there away to tell on SPG which stores you got the (SBS) bonus points, such as with chase?
Too sad! I just got Amex cards this years and opened many AUs looking forward to SBS and now…
@Jo: Unfortunately they’re spending their money on ads instead of giving us credits 🙁
@Dan: and they said that future years won’t have as well? Just wondering if you know it’ll make a diff for me if I keep additional cards open. Thanks!!
@Anonymous:
They said nothing about future years. I doubt they know yet.
This offer is a dud. There is no real money rebate like last time. I had 20 AMEX cards set up just for the SBS in the past and received over $500 in rebates and took my family out to a very nice Kosher Thanksgiving meal when the restaurant let me pay Saturday night. This time you have to really spend on random things which is not easy to do.

How do you find out if you are targeted for Amazon triple points?
