@Nat:
Try the mobile link.
Note: A materials fee of $5 will be assessed at the time of installation.
Other additional charges for vehicle-specific parts and additional labor may apply. These parts typically cost $10-$300 but will vary depending on your specific vehicle and the alarm, remote start and keyless entry system you are having installed. See Geek Squad installation product detail page, or contact your Best Buy store for full details.
@Nat: Try with a desktop computer
That is a fantastic deal!
Viper is the best for remote starters. I had one installed a couple of years ago and paid significantly more than that.
Worked for me with the computer link… thanks Dan!
Is there any chance I can exchange this for a remote starter with keyless entry?
Best buy charges extra in fees esp if you need they bypass for your security system. They also will require you to leave a key with them forever.
the final cost for most cars will be about $350 before u buy go into ur local bestbuy and have a chat with the geeksquad
@c!: Why would I need to leave a key with them permanently?
@isramen: It is true, buyer be aware there will be addiotnal costs in getting this installed.
FOr example BestBuy sells the kit Viper is recommending to be used on my car Chrysler Town and Country 2013 for $99.99 + install (which is anywhere from $5-200). The same item on Amazon is only ~$54.
So be careful before you buy!
i yust got of the phone with a bestbuy manager and he told me that this item is on recall and that he does not recommend it he told me to get this on, http://www.bestbuy.com/site/viper-4105vb-1-way-remote-start-and-keyless-entry-system-geek-squad-174-installation/9999212600050004.p?id=pcmprd211500050004&skuId=9999212600050004
and he laughed when i told hime about them keeping a key he said “what !!! that is nonsense”
For most cars this is not worth it. As stated above your cost will be more then 300.
If you have an old car that doesn’t have a chip in the key, and does not need a bypass, this is a good deal.
@dave M: Dave – you should note the one you posted is the same price – and includes keyless entry.
@DoGo: Dogo – how do you know if your car key has a chip? I have a 2006 Sienna. Wife would love this. Would do it for $200
I don’t know if this will really work well and won’t damage my 2007 Camry Hybrid.
Will it be as good as factory installed?
Does anyone know the details on these different products? The one Dave M. linked to looks good, is there a website or place I can read real reviews and compare the products. Bestbuy.com and their retarded phone tree sucks as a source for reliable info.
he gave me a price for a honda Odyssey touring 2011 total of 334 afther tax
@Barry:
yes ur corect i forgot to mention it
This is a difficult do it yourself. Had it done by a professional and took an hour. Cost about $300 for a new keyless entry car.
You linked the 4115v1d for $199 which is a dead link now. However, the 4115v1b is available for $139. Not sure what the diff is because I can’t get to the old link.
