The 10/31 deadline to be upgraded to Gold level seems to just be a marketing scheme and is complete BS. I purchased season passes and they kept sending me emails about how the gold level has been upgraded for another month. Kept extending the deadline. I ended up going for the first time in June, way past the deadline and they upgraded me automatically to the Gold level…

@five towns yid: no, you must activate in Maryland, but you can use it in NJ. I dont think the bring a friend for free works in the NJ park though, only MD

@SL: You would need to go to MD the first time to activate the pass but then you could use it the whole time in NJ but you wouldn’t get free parking in NJ and also I think you wouldn’t get admission to the Hurricane Harbor (the water park) in NJ.

Keep in mind you only have access to Six Flag amusement parks. Any separately gated water park is not included unless it’s your home park i.e. if you purchase a season pass for NJ then Hurricane Harbor in NJ is included. So if you want to save money by buying the Lake George, NY or the MD season pass you wouldn’t have access to Hurricane Harbor (you also wouldn’t get free parking in NJ only in your home park).

I may be wrong. I didn’t have the pass this year but when I had is last year parking was only free at my home park.
For the New England Six Flags, there were private lots that only cost $3 and were just as close of a walk as the official six flags lot.

When comparing prices, for six flags Jackson you need to pay 7% sales tax which adds on another $4.5 per ticket. Six flags New england doesn’t charge tax on sporting events or amusement parks. Also, six flags great escape in Lake George gets away with only charging $0.91 per ticket.

I have bought multiple free gold upgrades every other year for many years and at different parks and I have gone to Atlanta MD New England magic mountain great adventure and even Arlington too with an initial pass from diff locations and always Got free parking.

If I don’t plan on using Hurrican Harbour, can I get the cheaper ticket in DC and redeem in Jackson?

Yes, you can buy the MD pass but you have to go to there to activate the pass. After that you can go to Jackson, NJ all you want.

For those of you that had six flags jackson season passes in 2016, are they offering you a cheaper price to renew for 2017, or is it the same 64.99 offer like everyone else?

#13 If NSCY rents out the park and it’s NOT open to the public they will ask for $10 per season pass. This what happened to me this past Chol Hamoed Succos (I did contact NCSY before going so it was not a surprise to me when I got to the park). If the park is open to public then there is no additional charge.

With the Gold Season pass you get free parking at ALL parks. As some have already stated.

#30: Last year (2015) I got the Gold season pass for my family. Made Lake George location as my home park. So went there first to activate membership etc… Anyway this year I was not planning on renewing. Went to cancel online for 2016. Message popped up and said they would give an additional discount of maybe 5%. Said no thanks and clicked cancel again. Another message popped up where they offered 40% off (I think that was the number) the gold season pass. It also said this is the last offer that will pop up. So if I hit cancel again it will be cancelled. I took up on the offer. So it was $40 a year per Gold Season pass for this year. Not too bad. Now maybe that was a one time thing. So cannot say if they still do this.

BTW Dan, Uber pool flat rate of $5 in Brooklyn this weekend and labor day.

They have a new payment scheme (started in 2016, I assume it will continue) where you pay a monthly rate, basically dividing up the cost of the season’s pass over 12 months.

There are two important details that create a risk and opportunity. It auto-renews forever until you cancel. But you can also cancel at anytime after 12 months.

So you can purchase for example at the beginning of the 2017 season (June 2017) and cancel at the end of the 2018 season (Aug 2018) and get two seasons for the price of 1.25 seasons passes.

The rate for the seasons pass will probably be a bit higher in June of 2017 but they run many specials on seasons passes.

@Chao: When you pay upfront for a 2017 Season Pass it is valid immediately, so you can use it during 2016. When you buy a Membership it is also valid immediately, but they start taking monthly payments when you purchase.

Does anyone have the phone number of where to buy the $20 dollar day tickets TODAY?

It mentions to pick up tickets prior to 10/31. Can I go myself to pick it up or I have to bring each person in my family?
