Are there difference between Amex Business Platinum and Amex Consumer Platinum, aside from spending requirements (for 25k MR points, Business = $5k/3 months, Consumer = $2K /3 months) and OPEN Savings?

Dan, can you explain a couple of things about the amex platinum since I have the card. How do you get 4 years worth of access to lounges? Do I still need to hold the card after the first year to get into the lounges, does this work for the priority club as well? If i sign up for my 2013 $200 airline credit in December, and close the card prior to my 2013 calendar year will I not need to pay back the $200 airline credit? Thanks in advance.

You can get both in a 2bm/3bm with just 1 pull.

The card works for 4 years of lounge access even if you cancel it.
It would need to be open in 2012 and at least a month in 2013 to get the $400.

you quoted regarding accidental fees that it needs to be open at least a month in 2013 to get the $400. usually the credit posts after 2-3 days so if the accidental fee happens on jan 1 and i receive the credit thereafter the card still needs to stay open for a month? please clarify.

Dan, we did the AmEx Business Plat and were approved; looked all over their website on 10/25 while doing the application and were never able to spot the $58 additional plat cardholders, or, as david above notes, 175/3 ?? We would have loved to add our young adult traveling kids onto the account at this price. Spoke to AmEx customer service today to try to add them, and they have never heard of any at this rate and couldn’t find anything.
Can you enlighten or is this possibly in error??

Dan, signed up for the AMEX Biz Platinum last month and they JSUT charged me the $00 annual fee.. I thought it gets charged at the END of the year cycle.. otherwsie I am practically paying for the Credits upfront..
