I signed up for the chase sapphire but was rejected by Citi for the AA cards. Other than those are there any cards for which I can still get more than 30k?

I need the miles but I want to know if it pays to wait for another BA type offer.

Also It seems like all the AMEX offers went down a lot…

I have opened dozens of cards every year for the past 8 years and have a top-notch credit score.
Pay your bills early and don’t spend too much of your credit and you’ll be doing fine as well.

That offer is now dead.

I sigend up for alot of card this year all very close together for both me and my wife. I did not do any of the 3 browser shtick or anything like that. I had a credit score of 756 and now its down to 749, my wife started at 763 and is now down to 755. So they did take a small hit on my credit but nothing serious. Also its important to note that Chase does all there credit pulls with one credit agencey (I forget which one) so on the other 2 credit agencies my scores have not changed at all.

@Zev:
And with the “3 browser method” you might’ve even been able to get more credit cards with less of a credit hit!

But well done overall!

Hi Dan, I plan on doing the following 4 cards soon (already did amex plat (100k) – and aa plat (75k) this year.

I assume I should do these in 2 sets with the 2 browser method? (1st for amex and then chase)

Well, as for me, I wasn’t as lucky as Zev, though I did manage to get in on some of the deals for myself and my wife:

Amex Gold: 75,000 for me and my wife (150,000 total)

I was approved for Amex gold business, and will try to match that to 75k as well.

Chase Sapphire: 100,000 for me and my wife (200,000 total, got them to match the additional 50k, but hoping that when we spend the 3k on the cards they will give the other 50k – I don’t see why not)

Citi AA: Tried for myself, but they declined me for both business and personal because I already had the 30,000 mile cards last year ( Grrr >:( )

For My wife, I managed to get the Citi 75,000 personal, but they are giving me trouble with the business one (Saying that I need “Documentation of the business” – I hope that there is a way to get it approved)

Oh well, not bad…

what message are you suppose to send the credit card companies when you wantthem to match 100K when they are only offering 50k. who do you contact?

I upgrade my chase sapphire to the preferred last week and I keep getting turned down for the 100000 bonus offer, wonder if it’s because I upgraded and I need to re apply for the card??

Good for you a while back I called chase to get them to add another 50k for the sapphire card and they said no such offer exist

and I emailed american express about giving the 75k offer since i only got 50k

as well as giving me the double bonus for the delta transfer
also turned down

but still with out you Dan i would have never gotten the sapphire card. I got to try better next time.

I got this year so far the following cards, each one of them I got two cards 1 for me and 1 for my wife.
chase co – 50k*2
chase ba – 100k*2

I got the Citi AA 75k (and some of the others), i am trying to build up to 1m miles so that i can get gold status, if that still works.
Should i cancel my citi AA card now so that i can reapply at a later stage so that i can get a new card and more miles?

This doesn’t exactly compare to the post or some of the comments but along as we are praising Dan I will add this to it.

I am in Israel now on a birthright trip with 42 others. We had a stop in Zurich on the way here but on the first leg of the trip the airline misplaced 70 kosher meals. 38 from our group and the rest were from other groups and individuals that ordered kosher. As you can imagine we were hungry when we arrived in Zurich. I was the only one of the 42 guys with a platinum or priority pass. I was able to get 4 people in to the lounge and we were able to bring fruit and drinks out to the other passengers along with codes to the wifi network available in the terminal.

You can cancel or you can have 2 of the same card.
Either way may work or may not work.

also IRS charges like $50 for a certified copy of return…

Dan, no comment? How can i rebuild my credit and get another card from one of the major banks? I dont care about the points, or miles that they give away.
