I tried registering my account for this promotion previously and it didn’t work, but it worked for me today!
AMEX now has spending promotions on their former SPG Consumer and SPG Business cards. You can read about the consumer offer here. I’d imagine that spending on these cards is down since they were #Bonvoyed with earnings slashed from 3 Marriott points per dollar to 2 Marriott points per dollar. These promotions are intended to make up for that devaluation and may prove as a testing grounds to see what can be improved in the future if they are successful in bringing spending back to these cards.
Offer terms:
- Enroll your Marriott Bonvoy Business Card by 5/31/2019
- Earn 7,500 Marriott Bonvoy bonus points each month for six months, up to 45,000 points total, during the offer period.
- In each month after you spend $5,000 in eligible purchases on your Card, you will earn 7,500 points.
- Offer is good for a maximum of 6 months, or until 11/30/2019.
This card earns:
- 2 points per dollar everywhere
- 4 points per dollar at U.S. restaurants, at U.S. gas stations, on wireless telephone services purchased directly from U.S. service providers, and on U.S. purchases for shipping
- 6 Marriott points per dollar at Marriott hotels.
If you are targeted and spend $5,000 on everyday purchases, you would earn 17,500 Marriott points, or 3.5 points per dollar. The card comes with a free night upon every card anniversary valid at hotels that cost up to 35K points. If you spend $60,000 in a calendar year you will receive an additional free night up to 35K points within 8-12 weeks of completing the spend requirement.

Online account shows switch from SPG to Bonvoy but never received physical card.

On 3/6/19 I got a targeted offer for this card for 15K bonus points per month for 6 months and I joined and was accepted same day.
Didn’t work for me I spend too much on this card I need to transfer my spending to the capital one
It’s not clear in the language of my offer whether I’m going to receive 7500 bonus points or whether I’m going to receive 7500 total for 5 thousand spend, roughly 1.5 points per $ spent.

Changed from Lemon to Mango yogurt for breakfast.
Try peach yogurt and report back when the offer gets better.

@Dan – Are you going to do this one? I’m really on the fence. If I shift regular spending I’m pretty much moving it from a Chase Unlimited, so the equation is 7,500 UR vs 17,500 Marriott.

7500 bonus is not posting for purchases at Gc.com. Worked month 1 in March but nothing in April.
