Chase is adding and extending several new benefits to their Sapphire cards.
Peloton:
- Sapphire Reserve and JPMorgan Reserve cardholders can now automatically earn 10 points per dollar on each Peloton Bike, Tread, and accessory purchase over $1,800, with a max earn of 50,000 points through 3/31/22.
- As previously announced, Sapphire Reserve cardholders also get up to $120 in statement credits for Peloton All-Access (Normally $39/month) or digital memberships (Normally $12.99/month) through 12/31/21.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card cardholders can now automatically earn 5 points per dollar on each Peloton Bike, Tread, and accessory purchase over $1,800, with a max earn of 25,000 points points through 3/31/22.
- As previously announced, Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card holders also get up to $60 in statement credits for Peloton All-Access or digital memberships through 12/31/21.
- Sapphire Reserve cardholders can use their points at a value of 1.5 cents each to offset spending at grocery stores, dining at restaurants (including takeout and eligible delivery services), home improvement stores, and select charitable organizations through at least 9/30/21.
- Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card holders can use their points at a value of 1.25 cents each to offset spending at grocery stores, dining at restaurants (including takeout and eligible delivery services), home improvement stores, and select charitable organizations through at least 9/30/21.
- Pay Yourself Back is a great feature of the Ultimate Rewards program as you keep the original points that the purchase earned, even though you paid yourself back for the purchase. That means your points will be worth more than 1.25 or 1.5 cents each! In other words, if you spend $300 on groceries or dining on Sapphire Reserve, you can use 20,000 points to offset that purchase and make it free. Plus, you’ll still earn the 900 points for groceries or dining, so you effectively used 19,100 points to offset the purchase. That means your points were actually worth 1.57 cents each!
$300 travel credit:
- Chase Sapphire Reserve® $300 travel credit can be used at gas stations and grocery stores through 12/31/21.
Chase dining:
- Sapphire Reserve cardholders can use their points at a value of 1.5 cents each for Chase Dining redemptions via the Ultimate Rewards portal through 9/30/21. Cardholders also earn 10 points per dollar spent up to $500 through 6/30/21.

Hi Dan! How can we tell if we’re over the 5/24 limit prior to applying for the cards? Thank you.
You can check your credit report for free at https://www.annualcreditreport.com/index.action and see how many consumer cards were open in the past 24 months.
Or just apply. If you are over 5/24 they won’t pull your credit so there’s no harm in applying.
Good luck!
You left out the best part lol..
“You can now earn 3x total points on up to $1,000 in
grocery store purchases per month from Nov. 1–April 30, 2021, including pickup and eligible grocery store delivery services. Footnote1(Opens Overlay) It’s automatic—no activation required.”
That isn’t new or extended.
It was covered when launched here:

Yes, through April, https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/chase-adding-new-temporary-benefits-sapphire-cards-due-covid-19/
are you able to apply for the preferred get the higher bonus and than upgrade to the reserve?
Yes, but some reps may say that you need to wait 12 months to upgrade a new card.
YMMV.
I can’t seem to find when I got my reserve bonus in 2017 – is there a way to confirm you’re eligible for the bonus and outside of the 48mo restriction?
Do you still have the card or the card that you downgraded it to?
Or did you close it?
When I log in to my Chase Account it still says that PYB is till 4/30/2021, are you sure it is being extended till 9/30/2021/
I only post things that I’m sure of 😉
Also, there’s a link in the post 🙂
Hi Dan! What’s the best way to apply for this card and and Ink Cash card at the same time? Will chase allow one to do that? Thank you!
Thank you for the great news about the extensions. Can you please elaborate on “Cardholders also earn 10 points per dollar spent up to $500 through 6/30/21.” Is this just on dining or on all categories? And is this retroactive back to 1/1 or is it from now forward to 6/30?
hey can anyone tell me if i have a reserve can i transfer to the preferred and still get the signup bonus?
thanks
