Chase has several excellent airline and hotel mileage transfer options. And they have some duds.
IHG often sells their points, as they are now, for just 0.5 cents each.
Chase points can be cashed out for 1% cash or 1.5% or more towards travel, so transferring them to IHG at the normal 1:1 ratio would be a bad idea.
From now through 1/15, you can transfer Chase points to IHG at a 1:1.7 ratio.
While there certainly are scenarios where IHG points can be worth more than they’re sold for, as you can often buy 1.7 IHG points for 0.85 cents, it would be pretty ridiculous to transfer Chase points even with a 70% bonus.
Not all redemptions are good ones!
