Limited Time Offer: Earn 75,000 Bonus Miles And $250 Travel Credit On The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card!

Signup bonus:

For a limited time, you can earn 75,000 Capital One miles for opening the Capital One Venture Card and spending $4,000 in 3 months. With this limited-time offer, you’ll also get $250 to use on Capital One Travel in your first cardholder year! You can use that for airfare, hotels, car rentals, or vacation rentals.

As you earn at least 2 miles per dollar everywhere, you’ll have at least 83,000 miles after spending $4,000 in 3 months. 83K miles can be used for $830 of travel, dining, or gift cards. Or it can be transferred into 83K airline miles where they can be worth much more!

Note that Capital One pulls and reports to all 3 of your credit reports. Capital One typically awards signup points even if you have the card in the past. It can be difficult, though it’s possible to get approved for more than 1 Capital One card every 6 months. You can have both the Venture and Venture X cards.

Annual fee:

There is a $95 annual fee for the primary card and no annual fee for additional cardholders.

Card earnings:

  • 2 miles per dollar everywhere.
  • 5 miles per dollar on hotels and rental cars booked through the Capital One Travel portal.
  • There are no foreign transaction fees.

Spend Threshold:

You’ll need to spend $4,000 on this card within 3 months.

You can pay your federal taxes for a 1.75% fee. If you overpay your taxes you can request a refund or apply it to your next year’s taxes.

My local natural gas company allows me to prepay up to $1,000 on a credit card for a $1.65 flat fee. That’s a great way to earn miles and help meet a spend threshold. My electricity supplier allows me to pay with a credit card for free as long as I am enrolled in autopay.

Card benefits:

  • Rental car CDW insurance
  • Extended warranty
  • Lost Luggage Insurance
  • Travel Accident Insurance
  • Purchase protection for items damaged or stolen within 90 days
  • Virtual card numbers

Use points for paid travel reimbursement:

You can redeem your points to pay yourself back for any travel related expenses (airfare, hotels, car rentals, cruises, ride sharing, etc) or book new travel at a value of 1 cent per point.

Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check Credit:

It costs $78 to apply for a 5 year TSA Pre-Check membership which makes flying pleasant again. Shorter lines, no need to remove your shoes, belt, jacket, or hat. You can keep your laptop and small liquids inside your carry-on. And you go through a good old fashioned metal detector instead of assuming the position in the body scanner.  If you charge it on your card the fee will be refunded.

It costs $120 to apply for a 5 year Global Entry membership which lets you bypass the customs line. If you have Global Entry you also get TSA Pre-Check for free. Members can also apply for Global Entry/PreCheck for all of their kids under 18 for free!

If you charge it on your card the fee will be refunded. You can get refunded for this charge once every 4 years.

You can read more more about the differences in this post.

My whole family has Global Entry and it sure makes traveling a whole lot easier!

Hertz elite status:

Primary and additional cardholders get free Hertz Five Star elite status. Benefits include skip the counter and e-return, 25% bonus points, space available upgrades, wider ultimate choice availability, and more!

Excellent MLB Redemptions

Capital One cardholders have access to exclusive tickets to special events such as All-Star Week, the MLB Postseason, and the World Series presented by Capital One.

Plus, you can redeem just 5,000 miles for ultra-premium MLB seats in every ballpark, for every game. There are 4 tickets available for every game at that rate. The best time to buy is when each month’s games go live, which are posted here.

I have gone to games with amazing seats in NYC, DC, LA, Anaheim, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Miami, Pittsburgh, San Diego, and San Francisco, and hope to go to many more to complete my 30 ballpark tour using my Capital One miles at an excellent value!

Getting $200 seats for 5,000 miles is a great deal!

Product changes:

Capital One doesn’t have regular product change options like most banks, but you may be able to change between the no annual fee Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card, the $95/year Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and the $395/year Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, but you won’t get a signup bonus for upgrading from VentureOne or Venture to Venture X.

Even if you aren’t eligible for a product change, you can always close a card for at least a month after an annual fee is billed, to get a refund of the fee.

Card combos:

The $95/year Capital One Venture Card and the $395/year Capital One Venture Rewards X Credit Card offer 75,000 points for spending $4,000 in 3 months, though only the Venture card has the current limited time offer. Both these cards offer 2 miles per dollar everywhere and the ability to transfer points into airline miles and hotel points. The Venture X adds a $300 annual travel credit, a 10K mile annual anniversary bonus, lounge access, elite status, Global Entry/PreCheck, and more.

Add the no annual fee Capital One SavorOne Cash Rewards Credit Card and earn you’ll earn 3% back or 3 miles per dollar on groceries, dining, entertainment and streaming!

Is this a new offer for the 250?

I literally just got this card a few weeks ago..

Keep getting rejected at Chase and amex for having too many cards with them. The game is running dry

EF

@dan can you add a comprehensive compare and contrast table between Venture rewards card and venture rewards x card?

Meir

If I sign up for the venture, will I lose the venture X sign up bonus?

Abe

Do they match offers? I just applied last week…

I was starting to like the Capital One products and just got the $2600 bonus for a $30,000 spend offer on the Spark cash card. But I’m canceling my venture card. I pay my cards off in full every month. In December, i paid it on the due date and didn’t realize that the cut off was on eastern standard time rather than pacific where I live. 553PM missed the cutoff by 53 minutes and now they’re charging interest for three months at 25% approximately on all purchases. Will keep my venture X card and the spark card for now, but the customer service is not good, not willing to make an adjustment on a one time basis and the interest being in effect for three months feels onerous to me. Keeps coming back to my preference for the Chase products along with my United club card (and I’m about to get the business United card) and even feeling like the Amex products are better (even tho a bit pricier).

Where would I ask? I applied several days ago and wasn’t approved yet as they asked I upload a photo ID.

Can you have more than one of the SAME Cap1 card?

Also, are miles combined/transferable between multiple different cards? (e.g. if I run out of things on which to use the travel credit on my VentureX, can I close that card but keep the miles on a VentureOne?)

Amalfihu

For that matter, can you spend the annual travel credit from the VentureX and the sign-up bonus one from this one in the same transaction?

Mendy

I got the bonus for this card in October 2023 and downgraded the card to the quicksilver. Can I get the bonus now again?

Greetings Dan’s Deals. Thanks so much for making all this info available for us.
How can I try and get two capital one cards from the same hard pull?
I have a sign up offer from capital one of $300 and want to get this Venture card as well. How would I go about that?
Thanks

Rita
