American Express has majorly bungled the $250 business card promo.
According to what they told me, they originally had major problems with all applications coming in from the $250 promo, and they were never processed.
Lucky for us the $250 promo is still live!
So how do you know if your application was processed or not?
Use the Amex Status Checker Linky and check if you see the application.
If you applied for it when I originally posted the deal back on the 18th and it’s still not there then your application was never processed and you should apply again.
I can confirm that if you apply for a card now through the $250 link it will work (At least it did for me when a reapplied yesterday!)
It can take about 24-48 hours for the application to show up in the status checker.
Due to the Amex error I have reposted the original Amex articles that I posted back on the 18th.

I just applied today for the first time. I noticed though that when you click to apply for the Delta Amex (Platinum) there is no reference to the $250 promo. Nevertheless, I applied anyways. 1. If they don’t give the $250, am I able to claim that it was initially on the site…? 2. I am currently a Delta Amex Gold Card holder, will that make me eligible to get it at $80 also will I still get the mileage?
I then also applied for the $300 card. I hope it’s benefits will come handy. 1. Are mileage tickets also eligible for free companions? 2. Are all airlines club rooms included and can use them even if I am not flying that specific airline? Also can u get upgrades on flights with this card?
Hope all the above questions are no hassle for u to answer. Just 1 more. Can I apply for the other 2 cards as well and receive $1000.00. Does that make sense? If that’s the case, would it be sensible to close down my fee-free cc accounts?

they wrote me an email for the 300 dollar one that i should log on online and fill out my tax id number and then call to tell them a bus phone number and company name verification. i logged on and put in my ss number again and now i have to call. does anyone know how they verify the company name? what they ask for…

Each of the 4 applications clearly state the $250 bonus on the bottom-check again.
The $80 price is only if you have a business charge card like the platinum-which you applied for.
Free companions on the platinum card is only for paid business fares booked through amex, which is why i dont consider it one of the benefits of the card.
You can only access continental, delta, and northwest clubs and only when you travel on them (refundable tickets come in handy here) However those 3 clubs are actually much better clubs than AA and United.
You won’t get upgrades with the card.
Last time Amex gave $250 per card, whether they will do that this time is unknown at this point.

Just call them up and tell them the business is a sole-proprietorship and the tax id is the same a the SSN-they should approve you.

I applied for the Bus Plat and they emailed me telling me to call them. I called and they told me that I am approved done deal.
Then..5 days later I get a call from a “special” processing dept that want more info about the bus. and they tell me that in order to keep the card they might ask in the future for tax returns, bank statements etc.
They also told me that even though there is no spending limit on the card (since its a charge card) depending on what you spend per month that is what will determin what your “limit” will be, and iff you stop spending you will have to rebuild your “limit.
After all the jiberjab I got approved for the 2nd time.
When I asked them why did I get a phone call if they already approved me, they said that the email was the “regular” processing dept.
I tried reapplying for the card two days ago and they still have no recollection of my application. I called them and they dont know what i’m talking about.
seems like amex has a security breach

they called me friday and told me that they just wanted to let me know how my card was going to come and that my skymiles delta platnium would arrive in a white envelope and that my 250$ credit will be credited to my account after my first person
