You dont actually need to live in long island, but you do have to fly originating from islip.

i bought the ticket and i said i was collage student and i spoke to a rep and said it didnt make a diff

Why not just make a new mileage account?
i made an account and clicked college student and then called about another q but they said i didnt qualify because i was enrolled in the other promotion and i cant do both and she said that i cant reenroll. well guess who didnt listen? đ i reenrolled without a prob!
