Airline miles are perhaps the best deal you can get for signing up for a credit card, just look at a ticket to Australia-they sell for about $1500 or so, yet with just 60,000 miles you have a free ticket there-putting a $500 value on a 20,000 mile bonus-not too shabby-and a heck of a lot better than a free t-shirt!
1. Delta-Amex:17,500 miles at signup, or 20000 miles if you request a 2nd card. No fee for 12 months.

btw on United – if you sign up for something – i’m not sure exactly what – a club member or something. It will cost you $500 but it will get you 50,000 bonus miles.
Also with American Express they have an offer that if you pay $25 then every time you rent they’ll charge you $25 and that will cover insurance

Dan

Posters #1-There is a united visa card posted.
Poster #2- 5 of the 7 cards dont charge for the first 1-2 years, after that just cancel and resign to avoid the fee.
Poster #3-I’ve posted before on Ameniti, the united club in the past…
Interesting about the Amex thing, up to how many days will that cover?

hey dan, you once posted an offer for american express business that if you spend one hundred dollars you get 100 dolars credit. is that still in efect? by when do you have to spend the 100???

ari

i heard something about the amex insurance too and im pretty sure $25 covers the whole retal so if renting for a week its worth it but just a day u might as well get the regular insurance since that will be cheaper

Premium Car Rental Protection You Need at a Price You Want
Premium Car Rental Protection (PCRP) can help protect you, your passengers, and belongings when you rent a car. With this plan, you’re automatically covered every time you rent a car from a rental company using your enrolled American Express (R) Card.

For just $24.95 per rental (up to 6 consecutive weeks), the plan provides primary coverage of up to $100,000 if your rental car is damaged or stolen, accidental death and dismemberment coverage, plus excess coverage for medical expenses and personal property. The fee is automatically billed each time you pay for a rental car from a rental company with your enrolled American Express (R) Card so you’ll have the security of knowing you’re covered before you get to the rental car counter.

Premium Car Rental Protection is underwritten by AMEX Assurance Company, Administrative Office, Green Bay, WI. Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions, and exclusions of Master Policy AX0456. This program may be modified, terminated, or suspended upon notice to you. 1 Except vehicles rented in Australia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica and New Zealand. Other restrictions apply. Please be aware that New York residents are not eligible to enroll at this time.

AND $19.99 PER RENTAL FOR COVERAGE UP TO $75,000

Dan

Quote in Amex Spin,
“The fee is automatically billed each time you pay for a rental car from a rental company with your enrolled American Express (R) Card so you’ll have the security of knowing you’re covered before you get to the rental car counter.”
In plain English-
“This way even if you only rent for a day you get stuck with our $25 charge.”

Dan

It comes first 15K, and then later on the other 35K
