This is just such a great idea, taking the “freeze” concept and using it to promote a good cause. The Friendship Circle of Michigan is a top 100 finalist to win $1,000,000 as part of the Chase Community Giving charity contest on Facebook. They’re currently in 7th place, so definitely give ’em a hand at votefc.com
All well-organized charitable organizations should consider implementing this kind of viral marketing. Even if The Friendship Circle doesn’t win the million, the exposure from this kind of well-executed 21st century marketing is priceless.
