very nice, much better use of the sales tag, than the previous logo, that had it. Why ruin a perfectly nice logo, get a full dollar, don’t cut the top off! what it’s missing in excitement, it makes up in class. (although it does need some work)
Yanydoodle, (I’m sure your a great guy and all 🙂 i dont know if your a pro Designer or if your just basing your critiques on how it looks to you… but I’m sorry to say that you dont seem to know the first thing about how a logo is supposed to look, or the rules of graphic design. From what i see by your critques you like some logos that well, not to hurt anyones feelings, but that are very, very bad. I recommend you go read a few books and then come back and give your critiques… because as of now they kinda suck…
Thanks yossi i’m sure you are too, and you’re entitled to your opinion as am I. While in order to make a logo, you may need to “read a few books” about “the rules of graphic design”, but in order to critique them you don’t need any previous knowledge of logos, the point is how does it look to me, the consumer, the reader. BTW wasn’t the designer of the other logo with a sales tag, also named yossi?!
Yup thats me. But thats really not why i’m being aggressive 🙂

go the forum and check out the critique section… If someone would even try to post something looking like the above he would be attacked so fast… no offense to the designer of the above.
Logo design is a very hard, very complicated process. And no, it does depend on the consumer if the logo is good. There is more to a logo then just “looking good”.
To name a few:
#1 – Clean
#2 – Easy on the eye
#3 – Not more then 2 to 3 things going on
#4 – Colors have to flow
#5 – Can look good in black and white
#6 – Can be put on anything
You can check out some of my other logos at http://www.yossigraphicdesign.com to get a better idea of what i’m talking about.
between me you and everyone else reading this, that is exactly the reason why you’re being agressive! but i must say i’m impressed that you felt comfortable using your name, and admitting that it was you. The main thing i liked about this logo, was the neat use of the sales tag. You made a few good points, especially #6, it must be useable on anything, but aside for that one, the previous 5 points are up to the consumer, while there may be rules, and they may be generally true, these are “rules to help one sell their product to the consumer” and if any specific logo “feels” good to a contingency of consumers, that trumps any rules there may be.
Thats all nice and dandy, but its just not how it works.
If a client calls me shows me online something that was designed very bad but he likes it, i tell him to go on paint and make it. Just because 1 or 50 people don’t have a clue how a logo should look and therefor like what they see, does not mean that you ignore the other thousands of people that are going to view it… its disrespect to good designers everywhere to sell and publish “bad” graphics just because the few people you show it to (mom, dad, best friend) tell you that you are so good… show it to a few pros and get their opinion if your ready to produce work for the public. Anyone can use photoshop. Thats not graphic design.
I also like how he used the tag for the .com but realize the difference in contrast between the deals and the off yellow tag… it just dosent work!
Naah. Too cluttered and cutesy.
I agree with Yossi. but everyone is up to an opinion. it seems YankyDoodle has an opinion and “tweaks” for every logo here? Yanky did you submit any…? Opinions might be fine.. but I don’t think your tweaks are just right yet….Logos and banners are different… as Yossi mentioned. a logo for web and a logo print are also different though. (We dont need to worry about black and white here.) Anyway keep those Logos coming. its seems everyone is doing a great job…
Without the dollar in the background and with the tag a different color, this would work very nicely
very nice- i like this one
