I’m not quite sure why anyone in their right mind would buy an iPod from one of those sleek Apple stores…is it that:
a. They like the Apple store’s crappy 14 day return policy?
b. They like paying a restocking fee for the privilege of being able to return an item within 2 weeks?
c. They like paying full retail plus sales tax?
At any rate, as with everything from Amazon, the prices below are less than retail, include shipping, don’t have sales tax, allow 30 days (and then some) to return an item, and you won’t be stabbed in the back with a restocking fee if you want to return it!
If anyone can explain the proliferating Apple store phenomenon, I’m all ears!

I’ve always been of the opinion that Macs (as well as most of Apple’s toys) are overhyped and overpriced.
Steve Jobs has just unveiled the MacBook Air.
At its thickest point it is 0.76″, it tapers down to just 0.16″
It has a full-size keyboard, a high-res 13.1″ LCD, and it runs on a Core 2 Duo processor.
At $1,799 it’s actually priced lower than comparable ultra-portable notebooks.
It lacks an optical drive, but get this, it will supposedly be able to wirelessly use the optical drive of any nearby Mac or PC!

“Well, I called and they “miraculously” found a contract that’s $10 cheaper than the last time I called… so it saves me $120 a year! Thanks Dan.”
Nobody ever said that you have to cancel, and a $120/year (plus tax!) bribe in order not to cancel would probably make most people stay put! Was this with Verizon or Sprint?

“I canceled verizon and I have a text messaging plan. I canceled within 5 minutes. I called from my other cell phone and refused to give them my name or cell number so they would not be able to notate my account. The CSR knew what i was trying to do and said it had no affect on me. I hung up and redialed and spoke to someone another nicer CSR.
1) I asked her if she was aware about the price increase. She said yes!
2) I asked her if she was aware that this was a breach in my contract and that i would be allowed to cancel my service with no ETF. She put me on hold and came back 3 minutes later and said i was correct.
THEN, i gave her my phone number and and she canceled my service.
