No New York area… So sad
Dan, how come you always “earn 2.14 points…with Chase Sapphire” With Amex Gold Preferred you earn 3 points on airline tickets? Is the referral fee for you more by chase then amex?
@Mo Man:
Actually the AMEX fee is more…but the AMEX card doesn’t give any of those insurances and the card costs a lot more so ferer people have it.
I guess it just boils down to preference. I have both and usually use the Sapphire.
@Dan:
Thanks for clarifying
@Abe:
Ny has deals all the time. Time OOT has some deals 😉
According to the ITA fare breakdown, the United K fare (at least for CVG) is 50 cents each way. The rest is fees.
Nothing for June/July :(…
Fare rules state this is valid for purchase through Jan 7
@Abe you can use avios (4500) or united miles (10000) to fly from NYC to DTW or CVG, then on the way back just don’t take the segment after NYC. This would work for the delta flights from united hubs as well.
can I just hop in with a carry on at Newark? If I take the flight from another city
@Chaim:
Lol, no. Miss a leg and the remainder of the trip is cancelled.
@Dan:
Hence the “Hop” cause can do that with only 1 leg 🙂
Gosh if only US air can get involved now so i can use up my companion pass vouchers
@Dan:
A couple of years ago I flew US Airways RT from TLV to LGA via PHL. On my way back from LGA to TLV, there was a thunderstorm & all non-jet flights were cancelled. Having no option of staying another day, I took a cab from LGA to PHL so I can get on the flight from PHL to TLV.
Is that just because the first leg was cancelled by them?
@Josh yes, that is why.
Can someone tell me how to do this? Is it only thru priceline?
@Oren: Good luck with a flight from NYC to CVG. There are very few non-stops (3 from EWR on United and 1 from JFK on American on the Sunday I checked).
Wanted to book flight from Cincinnati to Israel between 2/22-03-2 . I walked away from my computer for an hour when I came back the deal was gone and 2 hours later it was gone. Have all the flints disappeared so quickly?
they have them from chicago for 744 as well
you can book them thru google.flights.com as well some are still available
