Everyone this means you can fly to Israel for Pesach for less the $700 Round Trip. just fly to Moscow and transfer there to fly to Tel Aviv on ElAL or any other airline. I found tickets on ELAL for $400.
example dates 04/05 and returning 04/19
dan, do you know if there’s a way to get these fares originating from dme to lga ? it changes the entire price from like 84 each way to 261 each way, when i flip the departure city!!! it would be freat if i could fly a russian kid for pessach for $263 total!! please reply!
Forgive my ignorance, but is this a hot deal for doing a mileage run (not because we have any interest in going to Moscow)?
If so, the $200+ it costs will be made up by the miles earned, which get you free flights or upgrades – right?
(I just want to make sure I’m on the same page as all of you. I’ve never done a mileage run, but I think it might be a fun thing to do.)
@yuda:
Nice find!
@moe:
It’s only available going to Russia.
@Uri:
Assuming that you currently are not elite on AA then the $260 LGA-ORD-DME-ORD-LGA will net about 11,500 miles, making the cost about 2.2 cents per mile earned. Not quite enough to make it worth doing a mileage run.
My favorite mileage run was when I flew intra-texas flights for 36 hours a few years ago at a cost of about 0.5 cents per mile earned.
Just remember folks, when flying to Russia, one requires a visa which can take 10 days or so (if my memory serves me correctly)
Dan, I don’t have elite status on any airline as I don’t travel much.
But wow, in order for a trip to be worth doing a mileage run, it has to be less than $263 or more miles??? Must be hard to find such deals!
Shabbat Shalom.
By “or more miles” in my comment above, I meant: a greater distance, thereby earning more miles.
not a good idea for a mileage run either…
because if you have an american passport you will need a visa to russia! but if you have an israili passport you dont!!
just a bit of helpful info
