A new airport opened last month in Tulum, Mexico, airport code TQO.
It’s located 60 miles/90 minutes south of Playa del Carmen, though that time will shrink significantly when the new Maya Train connects Tulum Airport with Playa in just 2 stops at 100 miles per hour. Playa is home to multiple kosher restaurants, an official and unofficial Chabad House, and a Grand Hyatt which has year-round kosher dining.
Tulum is also home to a Chabad House and restaurant.
The Maya Train opened last month and is operational from Cancun airport to points west, with the full route to the south slated to open next month. You can read about the project here.
