Today Only Book United Awards From Just 3,900 Miles Or Tickets From $38.60 Each Way!
Click on the link above to find flight deals from just 3,900 miles or for $38.40 in basic economy. United doesn’t have basic economy awards, so even with a 3,900 miles award, you still get regular economy benefits like free carry-ons and seat selection!
Note that there are more routes for sale than are displayed via the link above and some routes are less expensive than published!
If you have a United Club Infinite Card you get 10% off saver awards, so it will just cost 3,500 miles.
- Valid for travel purchased by 1/25
- Valid for travel from 2/7-5/18.
You can change awards for free, though you will pay the difference in miles. You can also refund awards if cancelled 30+ days before the flight (and obvious workarounds are obvious).
For example, a flight from Cleveland to Chicago on 5/17 is on sale for $38.60 in basic economy or $78.60 in economy. It’s also bookable for 3,900 miles, a value of 1.87 cents per mile compared to regular economy or 2.09 cents per mile for Club Infinite cardholders. Plus, the mileage ticket and taxes paid are refundable, while the paid ticket can only be refunded to future flight credit.
- Sample domestic sale routes valid in either direction for 3,900 miles (3,500 miles with Club Infinite)
- Newark-Boston
- Newark-Chicago
- Newark-Cleveland

This is also highly useful for United’s Excursionist Perk that allows for a free one-way flight within any flight region.
To book that, you need to use the multi-city search to book a 2 flights within a single region and then you can book a free one-way within any other region sandwiched in between your flights.
For example if you book a flight from Cleveland to Chicago in March and from Newark to Cleveland in May for 7,800 miles (7,000 with Club Infinite) and you can add in a free Excursionist Perk flight anywhere else in the world in between your flights, such as onboard the United Island Hopper from Palau to Kosrae via Guam, Chuuk, and Pohnpei, a flight that costs $598 or 12.5K miles on its own:
Or if you book a one-way flight from Newark to Chicago and then Miami to Newark for 7,800 miles (7,000 with Club Infinite) you can add in a free Excursionist Perk flight anywhere else in the world in between your flights, such as Lisbon to Venice, a flight that costs 12.5K miles on its own.

Any deals to tlv?
Thanks! I rebooked my LAX-EWR trip and it was only 12K miles roundtrip. It had been 21,800 miles.
Awesome!
We’re not big travelers and never fly United but interested in possibly of using United miles (via Chase UR) for family to fly to Toronto on Air Canada but I currently don’t even see any Air Canada award flights available on Milage Plus.
Is it worth applying for a United card just for possible expanded award search?
Expanded awards are only for UA metal
Seems like it’s to/from most UA hubs. PHL-ORD/DEN/IAH/LAX/SFO and even LAS/SEA/PHX are showing highly discounted pricing though not every day. With a little flexibility, there’s some real good deals out there.
Is this really one day only? Like, tomorrow these flights will all go up?
Yes, will go up at 12am.
If I pay only the taxes with my United business card (and use miles from my spouse’s account), will I still get free bag etc?
If you are the primary cardholder and are traveling, sure.
Thanks! Booked n got a value of 3.26¢
Nice!
ewr-mia on 02/17 comes up as $229, i doubt the cheaper rate got sold out already…
Do award flights include carryon?
Yes.
pass, don’t have UA CC for free bag
Up to 150K miles, expanded award space, and more.
Why not?

But all awards have 2 free carry-ons anyway.
Are you Serious? Even w/o any UA CC?
Nope, I’m Dan.
If I sign up for the explorer card now, is there still a way for me to get free bags? (I wouldn’t be able to use the card for taxes because the sale will end)
@Dan, here’s a formal request for the new United Livery, please
how come pesach dates are not so expensive this year when checking google flights?
the deal for united until midnight tonight – midnight in what time zone?
Still working
Booked! EWR-PBI 2/10 for 7800 miles + $11 per ticket. Thank you!
Are BE tickets eligible for free changes?
I planned to buy tonight but procrastinated until I realized that midnight passed. And now I’m a pumpkin.
still free date change?
How does one become aware of these offerings? I don’t recall getting any emails about this from United…?
