Save Up To 20% On JetBlue Award Tickets On Select Routes

JetBlue is offering up to a 20% discount when you redeem points for select travel.

• Book an award flight by October 4, 2023. Valid on new bookings only & cannot be applied to existing bookings.
• Fly January 9 – February 14, 2024
• Excludes travel in Mint®

• When you search for an eligible award flight, the base fare you see will automatically include the up to 20% discount.

While JetBlue notes that this isn’t valid for existing bookings, you can always just refund your existing award booking for free, though while other airlines refund your taxes, JetBlue refunds the taxes back to your TravelBank. You will have to call JetBlue to use those TravelBank funds to pay for the taxes on an award ticket.

Sample values:

• A flight from LaGuardia to Nassau on 1/14 is $96.20 in basic or $121.20 in regular economy. A regular economy award ticket is 5,300 points+$5.60, or a value of 1.7 cents per point compared to basic or 2.18 cents per point compared to regular economy. JetBlue doesn’t sell basic awards.
• A flight from Newark to Los Angeles on 1/14 is $137.90 in basic or $162.90 in regular economy. A regular economy award ticket is 8,400 points+$5.60, or a value of 1.58 cents per point compared to basic or 1.87 cents per point compared to regular economy. JetBlue doesn’t sell basic awards.
  • The same award on 2/27 after the sale window ends is 10,600 points, or a value of 1.25 cents per point compared to basic or 1.48 cents per point compared to regular economy.

If you travel dates fall within the dates of this promotion and you normally book regular economy tickets, those are some pretty good values for your Chase or Citi points!

And, if you have a JetBlue Plus consumer or business card you’ll also get a 10% rebate when redeeming JetBlue points.
